Good morning! Happy Sunday! Hope your weekend is going well. We gather round the Coffee Cart in spirit, to share our thoughts and concerns, offer support, enhance our camaraderie, and drink tea and coffee. This morning we have an assortment of bagels, with various spreads and toppings to enjoy. The bagels are toasted to perfection, the tea water is boiling, and the coffee is freshbrewed. Difficult occupation as it just lies there ...

I like the melancholy of the 3 Bells and the sense of 4 lorne in the pines ... por*gies trapped in an enclosure built about Sunday Morning's ...

4Walls to pass ... maybe mores ... no end to the mystery ... kind 'a mysty 'ere! Tyre 'd they dropped off ...

Some declare there's nothing less than nothing ... and then they've never ventured in adept matter ... skilled in what's understood to be out there?

Takes some prescient device ... omnipresent and cosmo-like as all seeing ... even when you 're not looking ... the impact comes! Lost eh ...

Good morning! How is everybody? Time to rise and shine and gather round the Coffee Cart, to chat over the events of the day and weekend, and to partake in tea and coffee, and a goodly number of leftover cupcakes. Thanks for the birthday wishes! The tea water is hot, the coffee is freshbrewed all day long, and cupcakes may not be warm, but are reasonably fresh and still good. Allis ready, all are welcome. Come join in the conversations and help yourself to the cupcakes!

Well why not leave it to the object then ... do not be so subjective or you'll get terribly entangled in yourself alone and will not get far in the learning challenge of ... "what's out there?"

If you cannot get through to folk just assist their desire for creating chaos ... those that clear the storm ... will survive in the great out there ... properly desiccated ... for the journey between pools ... albeit abstract! The pools may be hard to grasp if not posing proper preliminaries ...

Curious? Do you volunteer to be a volunteer? Seems odd use of the English language.

Did 3hrs of online training, booking blood test and TB appointments, signing forms and applying for police records check. This followed an hour long appointment. Impressed by the thoroughness for this org.

As my hours working decrease and I have decided to not reengage with the church , I had been pondering where I might give back.

Curious how others decide where to volunteer or is it more of a continuing path for you.

I volunteer around the cemetery for there is a great deal of stilled intelligence and wisdom hidden there ... sometime you can feel it intensely ... like opening a book by times!

Can dead tongues form an abstraction leading to something more firm? Albeit few grasp any understanding as they continue trying to defeat the living ...

Interesting question. A volunteer is one who volunteers so I guess you do. Etymology I found online suggests the noun came first, derived from the French "voluntaire", then evolved into the verb.

Other than the time I put in here, I'm not volunteering much these days. Between fulltime job and wanting to pursue some other personal interests, I have been a bit shy of time. If I ever land back in a church, my main focus for volunteering in the past, that would probably change. Given current energy levels and time, though, I am not actively hunting for volunteer opportunities right now but that could change if something twigs my interest.

Have a student who I voluntarily teach English to via Zoom. I chose her because she's my granddaughter
 
Sorry I missed your birthday Red, Hope you had an enjoyable day.

We too yesterday to check out the Narrow Hills Provincial Park now that the fires have finished raging. Basically it is closed - no camping open,. It was a sad sight - lots of burned areas - piles of cut down trees to prevent them falling across roads. It is drastically changed and not an improvement. It will likely ne many years before the camping areas are pleasant to use. Bare ground with no wind protection or shade isn't a good situation. So sad.

We noticed that most of the basic toilets have been destroyed but didn't see any picnic tables with fire damage. Not sure how that happens to wood topped tables. We managed to find a couple of places that were pleasant for a picnic - mostly untouched by fire. though fire damage could be seen around the lake.

Saskatchewan has lost a treasure! We have lost a favourite place to spend time. We took our grands camping there every year until the were grown.

Probably not. They wouldn't have had the time or resources to do that safely.

I wonder if the picnic tables have some flame retardant applied to them. People often put hot things like BBQs on them

It's tragic to see beautiful spaces destroyed by fire. It's tragic to see summer now being referred to as fire season in many places. Now Lytton, BC has fires in the area again. :(
