Mark always seems so straightforward but the last part of chapter 3 gets baffling.
Jesus returns home and a crowd gathers that is so large the family cannot eat. His family concludes that he is out of his mind.
The experts in the law pronounce that Jesus is is possessed by Beelzebub. Jesus begins speaking in parables. He says that blasphemy against the Holy Spirit will never be forgiven. Because they said He has an unclean spirit.
Not sure how this relates to the parable.
Jesus declares that whoever does the will of God is his brother or sister or mother. He does not exactly reject his earthly family but he seems to take them for granted.
