Nice, I can't anymore. Since they split this riding into two - Barrie/Innisfil and Barrie/Oro-Medonte, the latter is so solidly Conservative that one really must vote Liberal to make any hope of difference. The lady running for the liberals seems to be a pretty solid candidate. Lots of signs out, personable, well-spoken local family doctor. She ran provincially here as well, and did much better than anticipated against the incumbent PC (Downey, who is A-G), so maybe she'll pull off a miracle in this one.
Actually, we just landed on the right side of a split. They carved off the North end of our riding (used to be London North Centre, now its just London Centre) and merged that area with rural areas in the North end of Middlesex Country that have a CPC incumbent. It's weird driving along Fanshawe Park Road now (which I do daily to get to work) because it's now the riding boundary so you have different election signs on the North side than on the South side.

Jezz Jessae ... what do you do with Mark Twain's comments on easterly and alternate winds ... irresolvable as they drift off into someone else's territory ... probably original, eh bi? About right ... only approximate ... due to the endogeneity ... schizoid? Of course ...

Are they going to heed the concerns laid out by the UN and honour their commitments to the UNCRPD? If they can’t do that they should at least admit they’re full of it and are being lead around by a powerful lobby group that doesn’t care about disabled people’s living lives - and that puts others at risk who are also marginalized in other ways - women, indigenous people, people of colour, lgbtq+ people, poor people, unhoused people, seniors - all with higher rates of disability. Trotting out the worn out “untapped labour pool” talk is woefully insufficient. I know, I used to work in that area and I see it for what it is now. BS. Everytime they trot out that message the mainstream acts like it’s new, revolutionary or something (short memories or they didn’t care enough to notice the last dozen times it was done) - and it’s just window dressing, empty - workplaces don’t even practice what they preach and human rights tribunals are so backed up they know they can get away with it. After they pulled the Bill C7 stunt that whole “Ability Inc.” stuff just feels fake, like an excuse for slavery/ duress when our fundamental right to life has been pulled out from under us. The Accessible Canada Act won’t be fully implemented until 2050 and the $200 Canada Disability benefit won’t even get most disabled people to the poverty line. The Green Party has expressed a position closest to honouring the UNCRPD. But they aren’t being included in the debates. Nobody else is discussing disability issues. Not yet disabled and/ or poor people (which can happen to anyone) have no idea how important it is.
Correction. I said 2050. It’s 2040 but that’s still 17 yrs away. Disability has been a protected ground in the Charter since 1985 but we don’t have an act equivalent to the US’s (they’ve had since mid 90s) enforced yet. That’s the Accessible Canada Act expected to be fully implemented by 2040. Way too long. Canada also supposedly solidified our commitment to the UNCRPD in 2010. Again, too long.

Charter something and observe the latency ... a form of imperfection as folk search for round abouts! "I have to do something here for advantage!"

Imagine shrinking violets ... purple stains and all that ... the other end of the spectrum from those all red-faced from over indulgence ... hedonism in another word? A metaphor of pleasure-like disruption ... Eris and dissonance are others ... it is all in the word placed down! It can be played with so the populace won't know ... for reasons ... that's beyond us!

Um, the Conservative platform is ... bizarre. They pledge to cut the deficit by 70% but expect to do that through economic growth? Seriously? Are they paying attention? And it doesn't give a timeline for a balanced budget?

And requiring a referendum on taxes? How can a government balance the books while surrendering control of revenue? What will qualify for the referendum process?

Ugh.

I understand PP expects revenue to come from the tariffs on the US. Mkay. Can someone explain to me how that would work? Better yet, explain tariffs to PP.

Well, tariffs are a source of revenue but they assume you are actually importing from that country and will cause inflation as they push prices up. And the US would be tariffing our goods, putting people out of work and, last I checked, unemployed people don't (a) pay much income tax if any or (b) buy a lot of goods. Which means less revenue on the whole since income tax, G/HST, and tariffs would all decline. So, yeah, PP, like DJT, doesn't get tariffs or how they impact the economy.

Yet they declare chaos does not exist on their stage?

Possibly blind parasitism ... a poorly understood function in the chain of evolution as life moves along from one bead to another beadle ...

It is said beadles teach about flighty topics ... like swirling thoughts! Thus said it vanishes ... Dunne Gone like discussions of John during locks!

Control is there regardless of what you contemplate about freedoms ... thus Ephraim of Meme ... or Rye ... some fail at meme*ray ... as a dark mysterious force reclaims the things ... departure? Don't look Al Ice ... chill out ...

Well, my fellow Canucks, today is election day. Vote early, vote often. If you can figure out who to vote for

This is interesting about some unique voting habits shaping up in BC, if you’re interested. One reason cited for higher advance poll numbers is that BC is the most secular province in Canada and has been for awhile. Sunday shoppers are just as likely to be Sunday voters, which would drive up the numbers to some extent, here. I advance voted on Monday. It was likely planned that the holiday weekend would make time for advance voting everywhere - so maybe moreso for British Columbians who don’t go to church and are out doing errands because most things are open. That probably included Good Friday too.

Do disappointed folk tend to express themselves more?

Do leaders misinterpret the numbers of people in the vernacular group ... that is the common people? Do the common folk in virtue, overwhelm the fears of the individual powers?

Should the fools rushing out there take note of these imbalances? No! There is noa hat all ... they just dash on without any Rah collection ... that's the missed beam ... like a limb when falling out ... only thing is left is a large dark humor ...

In times past a humor was a mood to be served with some laughter ... but powers hate laughter, for obvious rational ... if you can see it!

Complexity ensues as unreal numbers; "how did these numbers get so great?" Somebody was in Contact ... an outside Job ... then they got intuit ... just imagine said the M'N named John ...

Did you know that some place in time than M'N was a personality ... maybe defecting ... personality defect? What a whack ... requires prae Eire; space ... thus we break as broken folk ... and the powers grieve over lost labor ... even though they wish it diminished to allow inflated prices ... complexity expounds ...

I don’t think I rushed out. I considered carefully, and voted with my conscience.

Has Canada has ever voted the same government in for a fourth term?
I don’t know but the “same governments” can change their priorities under different leadership. The Conservatives are now far right, the Liberals are further right of centre than they used to be, and the NDP are like the Liberals used to be.

Sounds about right. It's not unprecedented but it is rare. But that's under the same leader. With a change in leadership, it might be more common. Chretien and Martin won 4 between them, for instance.

Its all so confusing for some reason (we don't wish to know and understand) as some old philosopher once declared: "all is chaos, all is chaos) and thus we seek a way out even if unconscious. In mental terms that's like hot Eire discharge and vapor ...
