Charging at home would be fine for us. Some of the supply stores I use, like Atlas Tools, even have free EV charging while you shop. I could spend all day in Atlas Tools.

I have also had receipts for over $5k from Atlas, so it's not like they're not profiting from the offer.

I think some of the new apartment buildings have parking spots with charging ability. From what I understand, it's not enough and there of course is a fee.

Yeah, I'd just put a level 2 in the garage, probably. The plaza where our regular grocery is located has a couple charging spots and the nearby mall (Masonville for those who know London) has more so there are options, too. Not much near my office yet, though.

Obviously, free charging is rare but preferable. Home charging is next best for cost per kWh, though it will cost you to buy a charger and install it.

The paid charging options to me aren't great, because you pay an inflated cost per kWh. Inflated enough that it doesn't save as much compared to gas as you would want or expect.

I'd only charge at one of those if I was travelling. Otherwise, the plan would be to plug in whenever the vehicle is home.

There are also time of use plans that give super low rates overnight in exchange for slightly higher rates during the day. Then you program your charger to top up late at night. For high use EV owners, I understand those plans are the best.

I switched from time of use to tiered because it gave more flexibility for things like laundry and our use is never enough to lift us about the first tier. But with an EV charging in the garage? Might go back to ToU to get the low overnight rates for it. Of course, by the time I get an EV I'll be retired and probably living somewhere else so who knows.

We drive enough that if an EV were my wife's commuter vehicle and we used it weekends instead of my truck, we would benefit from the lower energy cost per km. Probably quite a bit. The truck would sit more, which is fine.

We still have a few years working yet. I'm trying to make up for some lost years before retirement.

Lost Years????

Where does time go when ab used? Is there an unseen hole in spatial domains ... possibly abstract!

This would allow a hiding place from mortals for the ultimate ongoing item of concern; "what we don't know!" One nasty dark spot ...

I dunno about lost years or busy years or productive years. There's years when there's kids and still mortgages and super expenses when you need more money. Then as you go, you make decisions. Big decision: if there's someone earning a public service type of pension, max it. Other than that, I have no advice, as a moderate economic failure in life (who has a small public service type pension...).

Expect some person of avarice wanting to take that away ... as a flood of ignorance indicates to them that they'd be better off if their surroundings were depleted and exhausted! Is that a long shot at understanding the mystery of knowledge and ... just where it departs too? Obviously the leaders don't get it ...

Given the current rate of economic growth averaged over the last 100 years in 20,000 years every atom in universe will have a nation sized economy

Emmanuel Macaroon (POF) and Joan-Enric Vives (Bishop of Urgell) are also Co rulers (Co-Princes) of Andorra, a teeny country in the Pyrenees that one can truly ski cross country :3

Andorra is one of those little places that dot the map of Europe. Old principalities and duchies that have never quite turned into full nations, but aren't quite absorbed into one, either. North America lacks places like that and I sometimes think that's part of why Europe seems more charming and interesting. The closest we come is maybe some of the Caribbean islands. I suppose the breakup of Canada and/or the US might produce some but I sort of doubt it. Places like that really kind of died out with the Middle Ages save these remnants. Even the Italian Renaissance states are gone save for The Vatican, I think (I think, maybe there's old principality or duchy sticking around?).

Do NY, TO, etc. drift into the territory of anonymous identities that have no respect for anything outside their big city aspects? Resolutions???? The wilderness feels deprived ...

Thus novel conceptions like the Great Alone or even 40 degrees below (6 fete)! What a festive spirit rising up for a bit as sum are, integral!
