In my humble opinion there should be a separate category for trans-women in sports, rather than including them in women's sports.
However, the likelihood of this happening seems low because of resistance from activists. At some point, something has to give. Either women's sports remain protected, or fairness gets compromised by inclusion and women's sports effectively ends with only trans-women competing in what remains.
Because of this, women's sports will lose its integrity and biological women will stop competing, then those sports will just fade away. Eventually, we'd be left with only male sports and maybe a few unisex ones like darts, snooker, or pool, where physical differences don't matter as much.
It's sad because the whole push for inclusion is supposed to make things fairer, but in reality, it could just erase women's sports altogether. If that happens, the people who pushed for these changes will never admit they were wrong; they'll just move on to the next ideological battle.
It's sadder still because women fought for decades to have their own sports, and now that progress is being undone in the name of 'inclusion.'

Am I wrong in my conclusion?

I have ... should be had as they are now late ... several aunts that were amazons ... and frightened the death out of some quiet gentle people ... men and female essence alike ... and thus the pies tate ... tait? They were a stayed bunch ... requiring significant bracings ... yet numb things still Eris ... and speak not!

These may appear as laid out on a page ... "pages" being like horse-men caretakers ... of that totally rejected and unknown! Sometimes they serve beer in the haul ... Nordic traditions ... polka đit ... ditto ... right on the spot! Few grasped the process in the slide ... and thus another empire goes down ... def lamed ...

Its beyond substantial ... almost immaterial ...

Just have sports with athletes matched together by things like strength, speed, etc. Do away with both men's sports and women's sports

Mixed sects??? That's bound for turbulence ... storms in the night ... like that man on the piano ...

So Jae welter weight to heavy weight. That is an idea. But for now we need to sort the problems we having.

In the USA, women's teams in various sports just massively forfeit games if the other college team insists on having a biological make Trans player.
Another reason to address this problem is that in the USA enforced Trans participation in women's sports has unfortunstely increased negative social treatment of ATrans people.

I think there are so few transgender women in sports, (9 or 10) in the US and not alot in the world.....why is it even a major problem? Sure it takes an adjustment in attitudes and that takes time.
How many transgender women athletes in the world?
Is it the athletes complaining or the spectators?

You groosly underestimate the problem. The Trans debacle in women's college sports has constantly been in the news this past year.

In what way, is what I'm asking......are other athletes complaining or the public?

Perhaps there would be room for a universal category open to anyone willing to participate regardless of competitors biological differences.

Numbers alone don't necessarily determine whether something is considered a problem by those involved. Even a small number of cases can raise questions about fairness, inclusion, and policy that need to be addressed. The concerns come from multiple stakeholders, most fellow athletes have expressed concerns about competitive fairness, while a small minority support full inclusion. Spectators, governing bodies, politicians, and advocates on all sides have also been vocal. The debate involves balancing values like inclusion and fairness, with scientific questions about physiological advantages, all within different sporting contexts that have varying physical demands.
Trans women Tennis player from the 1970s Renée Richards(Renée Richards Shares Her Position on Gender Policy in Tennis) herself later admitted that trans-women would have an unfair advantage in women’s sports. She initially fought for inclusion, but as sports science advanced, she recognized that male puberty gives lasting physical benefits that HRT doesn’t fully erase. So it is a big issue regardless of numbers.

66% 0f Americans oppose trans women in women's sports:

More importantly, the governing body of college athletics has changed their policy to crack down on trans athletes invading women's sporos:
"The NCAA has changed its participation policy for transgender athletes, limiting competition in women's sports to those assigned female at birth."

Thing is even straight women have a hard time getting into predominately male sports, like the NBA, NHL etc......
So there is a heavy bias to begin with, especially where women could be considered. Transgendered on top of that....double whammy.

Duh! No woman has ever been good enough to make a major leaqgue male sports team!

That's precisely why women have their own professional leagues!

You are not wrong in your conclusion

Will write more l8r as this is a tangled web of politics, culture, and high levels of Critical Social Justice vs. lower levels

Gender assigned at birth is a totally bogus beginning. It consists of an observation of an infant penis or vulva, which is usually clear enough to make a preliminary "decision" but not a very accurate assignation.

There are endless combinations of primary sex indicators, secondary sex indicators, hormones, brain structure, at least a dozen atypical chromosome combos. Two genders is a very government approach to the problem.
