What Legacy Does Trump Leave?

So I watched The Fifth Estate about Project 2025 and the tariffs. Still, I don’t understand the threat of it. It’s the US consumers who will end up paying the extra cost, in many parts the US and Canada economy are so intertwined that the US can’t just not buy Canadian- and if they want to go buying the stuff they need from other countries, there will be tariffs on that ,too. I don’t get why we would put on counter tariffs- no tariffs on our side would keep things cheaper for consumers. They should go with encouraging buying local/ Canadian instead. ( though if US goods are cheaper than Canadian, then it makes sense.)
Thank you for your words of sanity

There seems to be more than a little hysteria going around -- Trump is like Global Warming -- excess energy in the system puts it oot of whack -- it doesn't help that Trump is a disgusting pig and that the worldwide propagands machine is still going on telling people what to think...

(I have had at least 2 interactions where locals wish Trump would die...Trump again is living rent free in people's heads...)

So I have been checking around with various economists aboot Tarrifs and it looks like Trump's main goal is to bring jobs back to the USA that have been offloaded to places like China (much cheaper etc). The economists I have sussed oot think that this won't work (can't fight capitalism, US' debt is too big and growing too big to stop). That that ship has sailed. And historically Tarriffs lead to bad things for the country.

At least that is what I have got.

is there any of what he is doing that you aren't ok with?
There is more outrage and media coverage over Trump shouting at Zelenskyy than Israel deliberately starving Gaza by withholding humanitarian aid. Trump is supporting the ethnic cleansing in Gaza - I am decidedly not ok with that.

And you're okay with the way Zelenskyy was treated in the oval office? Is that how you would treat guests to your home?

This is not either/or. It is possible to gave outrage over what is happening with Gaza/Israel and be outrage with what is happening south of our border.

Some would say we are underreacting. You laugh at a post about the gaslighting that went on with how Zelenskyy was treated. Now you refer to "shouting at Zelenskyy". I guess it is all a big joke to you.

Edit: I thought I responded to someone else. Oh well. Most of what I wrote fits.

I do not support North America funding multiple war fronts to line the pockets of wealthy globalists bent on dominating the world. Simply put - I do not support war no matter how many dictators of war dressed in "costumes" shout loudly or talk politely to one another during staged photo ops.

“No room left for Mexico or for Canada,” Trump told reporters Monday when asked if the US’s North American neighbors could reach a deal to put off the tariffs. “They’re all set. They go into effect tomorrow.”

There's even a warning in the bible about idolism, apparitions of perfections that are not as they present themselves ... alas no one is sceptical ... they just believe what is laid out as a scheme of prophets ...

When ONE questions who sets the standards for scripture (and authorization) ... is the censure on what's writ? Thus shards of virtue can be buried somewhere that the straight-liners cannot observe as omni-science ... the spelling of the idea is diverse also! ONE must read into if if for naught ... nothing?

Do real folk read that deep and close ... without coke-bottled glasses? We people at the end of the haul ...

When one looks at the dips in stock markets ... will economic drippiness be part of the scar remaining from the great mystery (vast unknown)?

Makes me think of the Moon and all those initial (A) holes ... suspended up there in space-time ... temporal-spatial exponent?

"The Korean government refuted U.S. President Donald Trump's claim that South Korea's average tariff is four times higher than that of the U.S. The Korean trade ministry explained that while Korea's average most-favored nation (MFN) tariff rate is 13.4%, compared to the U.S.'s 3.3%, tariffs on U.S. imports are almost zero due to a free trade agreement. The ministry plans to clarify this to the U.S. government.

In his speech, Trump criticized the CHIPS and Science Act, which provides subsidies for Korean chipmakers, and proposed partnerships in a natural gas project in Alaska. The Korean trade ministry and industry officials expressed cautious optimism about the gas project but noted that talks are still in early stages." - Summarized from The Korea Times by Copilot

The fate of chipmakers is important to me, since I teach at a globally leading one here

Is there something in the bible that states; "More is expected of them that has it"?

In which case a politician may exclaim ... "something's mist!"

From there it all gets hairy and clouded ... all due to the hare ... "you can do it" is the little voice lying inside the Mon ... "there'll be no consequences!"

The in step ... the nature of the mother attribute ... it's Wikan 'd ... as baskets are ...
