You do realize that the guy in the top right behind the microphone is Jagmeet Singh, the leader of a totally different party than Prime Minister Trudeau leads, eh
I would have added Doug Ford to Team Trudeau but have not found a picture of him in a grey sweater - yet.You do realize that the guy in the top right behind the microphone is Jagmeet Singh, the leader of a totally different party than Prime Minister Trudeau leads, eh
Now you're way off. Premier Ford's a Progressive ConservativeI would have added Doug Ford to Team Trudeau but have not found a picture of him in a grey sweater - yet.
They're going to give the crown to Carney anyway they have to.
Kings throughout history have had a habit of losing their head ... if in power your friends all have envy and thus CON sequence as the thing goes!Crown? We live under a parliamentary democracy modelled on the British system, not the American one. Under the rules, the party decides who its leader is. And the person who wins this particular contest? I'll put my money on the person ending up the scapegoat who leads the liberals to inevitable electoral disaster, then is turfed from the leadership for losing the election.
Speaking of the guy in the top right behind the microphone, I've been following him (and Trudeau and Poilievere) on Instagram. I'm beginning to like what he has to say and could potentially vote for himYou do realize that the guy in the top right behind the microphone is Jagmeet Singh, the leader of a totally different party than Prime Minister Trudeau leads, eh
Yeah, that's kind of my bet right now, too. I was actually a bit surprised at Carney stepping in given this is likely to be a John Turner/Kim Campbell situation. It could be argued that the better move would be to wait until the new leader loses the election and then step up to replace them (i.e. be Jean Chretien instead of John Turner). Though with the blame for the Liberals losing being pretty squarely put on Trudeau even before the election is called, the new leader can probably survive losing if they play their cards right. Also, note that the polls seem to have stabilized and the Liberals have even crept up a tiny bit. At least, they aren't melting down any more.Crown? Which, imo, why the CPC machine is doing everything they can to link Trudeau to whoever wins the leadership. THey REALLY want to run against Trudeau.Though with the blame for the Liberals losing being pretty squarely put on Trudeau even before the election is called, the new leader can probably survive losing if they play their cards right. No, not really. He seems determined to win on beating Trudeau and if a new Liberal leader can turn the party's direction enough, that could blow up in his face. And there's always the so-con minefield that go off on him, too, e.g. some so-con candidate spouting off about using a Conservative majority to re-open abortion rights. Which then allows the Libs to do their "hidden agenda" routine again.Has he got nothing else to offer?
I was listening to this the other day...it is shocking to me.This is quite shocking. It's also not surprising. It makes me think of what @Kimmio Laughterlove has been warning of for some time.
It wasn’t me saying it out of nowhere though. I was conveying the messages of scholars who study the tactics of fascism. This is quite shocking. It's also not surprising. It makes me think of what @Kimmio Laughterlove has been warning of for some time.
