Well head office is in Ontario. The branch is in BC. The estate people at head office were the ones who said probate was required. When they received the last letter from our lawyer in Ontario, it went to the legal department. So, the will was Ontario, our lawyer is Ontario, court was Ontario.......

I believe the rules are similar across the country.
Are the funds in BC?

I'm sorry, but we live in the centre of the universe and we can't hear you all the way out there in BC. There are mountains in the way.

Yes, I used to live in the GTA and worked right downtown TO. I get it. That's a big part of the problem.

I was just wondering if it was worth it to go to the branch to get answers. It seems to me it's easier to brush people off on the phone rather than in person.

Good. Then you understand how utterly insignificant you hippies in BC are.

Glad we could clear than up. Thank you for banking with TD.

(just guessing)

I'm staring down the barrel of 3 days of coaching certification, with an overlapping 3 days of cold weather. These courses are notorious for allowing no breaks.

Yay. Enjoy the mental image of me frozen on the side of a hill in Ontario hoping a snow cat finds me.

My sister has been talking to the branch manager at her local branch. He's absolutely on her side and that helps. His hands are just as tied as hers. His support does count though.

Ugh. I did the thing last night of just wanting to nap for a short time and then ending up sleeping for hours. Not smart. Not smart. Not smart

I have done that before. Not in a while, but I have. Usually happens when I am sick, jet-lagged, or something though. Or just didn't get much sleep the night before. It doesn't just happen to me out of the blue, in other words.

That could be the case with me, too. I've been fighting a cold and was busy yesterday with various activities. It's a really not smart thing for me to do, though. I'm an epileptic and when I miss getting my meds (as is the case when I sleep too much) it raises the chance of my having a seizure o_O

What a horrid hassle. Someone is demonstrating that they aren't as all knowing as they think.

I'm reminded about a bank problem we had. We wanted to take out a mortgage to build a new house on our bit of farmland. Seemed pretty straighforward and the local branch approved it right away. They said they had to get it approved by Head Office. Head Office said we didn't qualify for a house mortgage because we weren't building in a city, town or incorporated village. Local office said "No prob, we''ll just apply for a farm mortgage.". Head Office turned it down because we didn't own enough land to be farmers!

The solution was the local Credit Union who approved a mortgage right away - no interfering Head Office to mess things up.

Yup. That's the type of stupidity that's driving our problems. My sister was looking up how to change mortgages from one financial institution to another. She's also looking at the complaint process above the bank. Both sets of information were on the same site. I guess the local branch manager is as frustrated as she is and agrees the folks in the TO ivory towers are causing unnecessary problems.

Good morning! Cannabis in brownies, red tape and bureaucracy at banks, coaching certification and cold weather, incidents of napping, as well as all the other things that come to mind come with us to the Coffee Cart for discussion and support, over coffee, tea, hot chocolate, muffins and holiday fruitcake (Note: no need to mention one's antipathy to fruitcake; we are well aware of it. Just don't eat any. Problem solved.) Coffee is fresh brewed, water for hot chocolate and tea is boiling; baked goodies are warm. All is ready, everybody welcome. Drop in when you can and share in the conversations!

Good Morning, thanks for coffee and fruitcake.
I hope everyone enjoys the first day of the winter solstice as we head towards the longest night of the year on the 22nd.

Here's the clincher: our society seems to affiliate with stupidity, because it is easier than the option. Learning really is a pain!

I was questioned notoriously over strange things that I had familiarity with ... and they didn't know anything about how such things could occur ... the accrual of knowledge? Alien thought it appears.

Then this AM I was looking into the history of the Brown's and found some interesting tunes that he produced as solo! The 3 Bells is just the start of the curse of Christmas Given a chance ... somehow there is a connection with the Bishop of Myra and morning NU's ...

Things emotional type do not like to hear as they prefer good Nous ...

How old must one get before they discover they don't know all they believed they knew? Reflects on another thread and one that tried with great emotion to get his superficiality over on us ... when at that point of knowing one starts something new ... it is said to go on and on! AD continuum ... some do deny and eliminate it! Thus lost horizons ... displaced ... IQ? Isn't queue a funny line in a circular cosmos? Could cause short circuits in some cases ... as the carrier cannot abide with virtue given of field that lies there ... well Lais Doubt ...

What's Alais? There's another semantic ... how do we circumvent that? Mortal functions are good at self destruction ... thus the need for starts and initiates ... it was once said to teach them well ... and what do governments do ... make funds efficient for a small number ... maybe satyr? That' sah mule ...

You might have heard of the attack of a German Christmas market in Magdeburg, Germany. Newest info is that it was an Arabian physician who was in Germany since 2006. He drove his car 400 meters through a Christmas street market, so far, 5 people dead and 200 injured. It was one day after the 8 year anniversary of an islamic motivated attack similar to this in Berlin, which killed 13. The difference was that this guy the found out is anti-islamic and a fan of Elon Musk and the AFD right extremist party. ( Elon Musk, who didn’t know that, had immediately commented that Germany’s chancellor is a fool and to get all foreigners out).
Tragic again that a Saudi government Institution has warned the Germans about this guy because of what he had published online and it came out that a private person had sent an email to Berlin police end of November with a detailed warning about him after reading an online twitter conversation where he was threatening to kill Germans. Unfortunately, she has send it to the police in Berlin USA. She even had his name and place of residence in it. ( she is mentioning she doesn’t live in Germany and didn’t know what else to do).
In Magdeburg, false information is flourishing on the net and the worry is that neo nazis become violent towards i migrants. Magdeburg is an area in east Germany where AFD has gotten the highest vote of 22%.
The combination of fake news with mentally instability is a bombshell waiting to explode…..

Imagine mental instability spreading when so many tell me that psyche is just an abstract (it is unreal)! Complex, huh ...

Still there remains the skimmers ... superficial Sol ... walk softly!
