OK, can you even identify the puns in her nickname?
That was a bit of self-depricating humor on my behalf. I meant that clearly I didn't know there was a contest, since I just use a form of my own name.

As for her puns, no, I can't. The closest I can guess at would be "Why be Caesar"

Clearly, Jae and I do not see eye-to-eye on much, but I will say this about him: He has never, ever, created a new account to deceive people about who he was. He used to change his username on WC because that was a "feature", but that account was still attached to everything he wrote.

He's been through some rough patches, but he never once did the sort of thing Berserk and Rita have done.
Thank you, chansen. That's right kindly of you to say

The truth is, though, that during my time being banned, I thought, from time to time, of returning under a different name.

What stopped me was that I realised the Admin/Mods could figure out it was me based on my location, posting style, and beliefs, and also my thinking that to do such a thing would not be right and would ultimately end with my looking even more foolish than I did when I was banned

My point is that it's absurd to accuse people of waging a nickname contest simply because they praise the punning in one person's nickname.

The first clever deliberate pun is phonetic 'Why Czar" sounds like"Wisar,' which sounds like "wiser." She unpretentiously posts wisdom on this site.
The second nuance plays off "Czar" as the title of the supreme master of old Russia.
In a poetic sense then "Why Czar" conjures the image of the Master of answers to various Why questions, a playfully appropriate debating nuance for a poster here.

Still stupid is as stupid does and that is to advantage ignorance on the planet ... as one can see as the rich and powerful would like it all their way ...
It is self destructive and allows great mysteries to clean up their act.

Humans seem as mysterious as any singularity! Good thing they are confined to the Earth ... in all their comings and goings ... from all the ups and downs ... consequential processes in the dark and invisible! Can't see it? Perhaps a different volition ... imagine lucid visions ...

Remember they are just words ... nothing to fret about ... and claim you are an expert on ... especially given what we don't understand ...

Some admit it some claim to be experts on what is beyond them!

We have a troll with a conscience among us

We have a troll with a conscience among us

CON science ... how does that compare to PRO science and Lucid perspectives without the cloud of smoke and ashes ...

Of course the earth does need to be worked and toiled at ... shape up folk ... dig the indications given as signs! It assists in the vision of what's coming next ...

Given the avarice I suspect disaster ... control freaks abound!

Because she's f***ing Jesus amirite?
:ROFLMAO:This shows just how Polite BetteTheRed's threats to ban me were at the time ----so funny

Might I suggest that this discussion needs to either get back on topic or simply end. The last several posts are a waste of space.
A lot of what's happening is based on frustration about inconsistencies here. You have Jae, who very few agree with, but he did it right. He is back after petitioning the council for reinstatement. He's frustrating but he has his moments, and he never deceives.

Then you have Rita/whyczar, banned a few years ago, sockpuppet insta-banned a couple years ago, sneaks back in with a VPN, denies being Rita and has a handful of people fooled for a few months, then when discovered, nothing happens and she proceeds to sow division again, as she has always done. And somehow, that passes this time. And people who were criticized for calling her out for being Rita months ago, are left wondering how they caught more flak for pointing out she snuck back in than Rita did for sneaking back in.

And Berserk will stoke division by gloating about an election, pretending Rita is "polite", promoting faith healing and winding up unsafe who looooves being taken seriously.

You have bad actors running amok.

Now, I'm happy to deal with them, and you've been generous in giving me the leeway to do so. But this is where we're at.

Chansen speaks much truth there, but that still doesn't mean we can't have that conversation in WC2 News & Business or something. It seems a bit too important to be buried in a thread on an otherwise unrelated topic. Just a thought.

Well yes. But sometimes discussions take unexpected turns. Conversations tend to be organic that way..

How rude!
I'm not sure it's rude. It's just a complete misinterpretation of what's going on. Maybe it belongs elsewhere, but the reasons for posting those things happened in this thread, so they were posted in this thread. That does just sort of happen organically, as you say.

I think I've summarized the situation pretty well above. If someone want to move my post as the basis of a new thread, go nuts.

Thing is, anyone who is not interested in or following this thread is going to miss this exchange. That's always the issue when a thread drifts. People who might be interested in the drift might miss it because of the original topic. Fortunately, I think most people currently active have passed through at some point.

You don't think it's rude to tell members they are wasting space here?
I think Gord's intent was that the off-topic discussion was a waste of thread space because people will have to plow through it to see if the actual topic eventually continues. I don't really think that is rude even if he was a bit blunt about it. I would not necessarily put it the way he did (see my comments above) but I get where he is coming from.

Well, I'm trying to give them the benefit of the doubt. The mods have been through a lot lately, largely because of my situation and how the previous mods failed to deal with it and left it in their laps.

My point is that it's absurd to accuse people of waging a nickname contest simply because they praise the punning in one person's nickname.
Feel it's absurd to think that's something I was seriously doing.

So she's calling herself wiser, supreme, and masterful.

@WhyCzar - that's really what you're going for?

Since you were the one who suggested a competitve angle, you're responsible for the challenge you get, even if you now backpeddle.

Duh, because it's a playful pun, it's obviously tongue-in-cheek. Where's your sense of humor?
And I'm not sure she meant both nuances. But good poetry can have an extra nuance that even the author never explicitly intnended.

That's fascinating. Can you share any further examples from well known poets
