Depends whether it has crossed the border yet, I guess. Though I hear Americans cussing out USPS a lot, too, so may not fare much better down there. At least they aren't on strike (yet).Last as I wonder where the parcel I mailed on Tuesday stopped. It is heading to Chicago. I suspect it will have a little vacay somewhere en route.
Yesterday a piece of needed medical equipment was put in the post for me. Guess I'll just have to cope until it arrives.
Does there come a point when you would ever consider moving into town?I need a replacement Cpap mask. Don't get much sleep without it. Oh well, how could there be a problem for rural dwellers ? Used to be buses to small towns so if the post office was 'down' items would be popped on the bus. A lot of medication travelled that way. Also older people who weren't up to a long drive. Lots of isolated elderly folks here now they can no longer visit family by bus.
Thank you, Mendalla, for letting me sleep. Much appreciated.Getting a bit late for you, isn't it, @Jae? Maybe I should take LAST for a while so you can hit the sheets.
We DO live in town. We moved when a daughter wanted to buy the farm. It is a SMALL town with fewer than 5.000 souls. Lots of smaller places. I came to SK in 1967 and I'm still adjusting to the distances between places!Does there come a point when you would ever consider moving into town?
There isn't a lot of distance between places here in AB but we're still considered too small and ruralWe DO live in town. We moved when a daughter wanted to buy the farm. Oh sorry I thought you were still on the farm. Would there be a seniors centre or church group that could help?We DO live in town. We moved when a daughter wanted to buy the farm. As a resident of a large city I understand the appeal of smaller places. But they seem to have their drawbacks, too, especially for the senior population. We DO live in town. There are centrally located highrise communities here which have a certain appeal. Everything within walking distance or a short Uber/ transit ride might be nice. Some seniors in big cities are basically stuck in a high rise apartment with no access to green space. That isn't ideal either.
