It strikes me that 44 of 45 presidential terms have been filled, without immunity. I'm sure Nixon would have invoked it in his case, if such a thing were actually real. Why is Trump suddenly arguing about it?
Should the SCOTUS rule in Trump's favour, I have no doubt that a future SCOTUS will reverse such a travesty of justice. It may take time, but it will happen.

I just read that the courts may offer a limited immunity...which may cancel out the January 6th involvement.

Why? Ford pardoned him anyhow. Part of Trump's problem is that the only person likely to pardon him is himself and that itself might not stand up.

I continue to find it hilarious that this joker is the best that the vast USA can generate in terms of a presidential candidate. Not terribly impressed with Biden, just for the same old age problem, but we are respecting the unspoken 'two terms if he doesn't f*** up' precedent in this case. The GOP haven't even got that excuse.
