What Legacy Does Trump Leave?

It’s been said before but he behaves more like the devil personified.

Could this be false virtue ... how would we know if knowledge is ungodly, perverse and profane in the deepest senses? Forget it is best some say ... and then there is retention ... if you can get a grip on the understood portion as a sector, or sect! That's often po-pu ed ... and pops a few Ayes ... yes-m'n?

How can he receive royalties- even the Republicans must admit that he is not the author…( even though he would like to be)

God sinned Rome???? In a romantic fit (shocking state of psyche) ide departed ... how information redistributes for good or bad ... cautious of what you grasp!

Much of perspective is out of here ... over the reins bowed all out of shape by gravid Wahls ... fields yet unseen ... there's an article about deep sea vessels and down drafts in the CBC News! Titanic creates one ... you have to experience it to believe in mire virtue ... it is just folly ... that descent! --- W Blake?

The Trumpian argument is that all his speech is political ... for all that declaration raised on a staff ... should there be considerable truth and dependability to such declarations?

If not, can politicians be free to make improbable and impossible promises to confuse the innocents'? There the good sense departs us ...

On truth social trump posted a picture of a protester with an image of President Joe Biden on the back of his truck, hog tied and supposedly being kidnapped. By posting this pic, it seems trump was endorsing this image.
If that were anyone else posting that pic, they would be under investigation.
I can't believe how low the USA has sunk and the people just watching it happen.
Freedom is now a dirty word and land of opportunity? ( only if you're a criminal)
Amazing that Freedom includes being allowed to hate without boundaries.
God help the USA.

One must knuckle down to authority and be blind to the corruption as you bend a Kneed! Warps the pragmatic psyche ... light is dis torte 'd ... a law!

Isn't there and old adage about what we should or shouldn't make into an ide*ole? Further etude may be required as Caesar declared brute "Et Ude" ... a hard learning curve ... deux 've an item of essence ...

Torte Law ... can one see Pie 'N eer? That's far out there ... maybe a future item ... we are much focused on presence at this Era!

Imagine getting out of step with that force as it goes by ... darkly and unseen! Myth????

Apotheosis: to deify ... the glorification of a subject to divine levels and, commonly, the treatment of a human being, any other living thing,

I've heard that apotheosis is evil from some folk that turned around and declared they have this ideal of perfect nature (great powers). Is this improbable in the real natural world and ... maybe just natural in a supernatural world of an upset psyche? The flip side is perhaps a sense of Jesus turning the temple into a place of dissonance in its industrious busuness activities!

It eckos of great bull and bollochs in some traditions where gods were subtle in nature ... humble? It's good that a lot of stoic and fixed believers eliminate me from their communications as their chemistry would be disturbing in the line of the apothecary ... they might feel drug out or druid where they do not wish to go or "bothers" they would rather forget! They say it is best to do away with all your bothers and worries ... like Jonah ... but then they could rise up and swallow you ...

Roman Empires??? Did it really fall to an adequate balance level concerning the base? Sometimes refferred to as th Ba's ... that's soul in another tradition ... one best know their traditions if going through the visions as mono ... a singularity? The there is this thing Mam*mon! Mother of God do we have to deal with Ur TU ...

Imagine setting that up on a porcelan John ... flush is significant in some cards ... and then it too, goes ... all is gritty and with the san'man ... a dream?

When it comes to that fire breathing item in the sky ... who can put it out? Why the Moe 'n of course ... could be that Kohl White in the middle of a great Black Ares ... Aye! Imagine an hairy aye Ba'al ... very Ray Stevenish ... saac 'd piety? All in the dural thing once it gets it function, phenomenon ... going!

Prepare ... the shadow is coming even if only a icon of greater things in the abstract ...

US politics is just nuts and, to be honest, Trump may be more symptom than disease. They were ripe for some kind of populist with no filter who could exploit the extreme partisanship that had already developed. IOW, even if he is removed from the picture by court proceedings or health or something, I am not sure how much better things will get. Not saying he shouldn't be removed, just that we need to be prepared for things to be a bit wild down there even without his antics.

I agree that trump is a symptom. The fact he even became president given his history, and continues to be around without consequences supports that dysfunction.

Let's face it, the root problem is not defending free speech, it's people not wanting to be held accountable for their words and actions and it's a smokescreen for wanting things the way they were when gays and trans were in the closet, women just put up and shut up and let the men do their thing, and non-white folks stayed in their proper place. Anything that contradicts that narrative, that suggests and promotes women being equal to men in power and an equal and diverse society becomes "woke". But if that's "woke" then I am "woke" and proud of it.
Woke is good. You are a good.member of the Wokerati :3 Embrace your Wokitude and I look forward when you pass and enter the 33rd Circle, Comerade.
Linguistically speaking, "woke" was a compliment before it became an insult.
It is still a compliment
Remember that thread where I showed like at least 8 I think different usages
This bears repeating.

Throwing around words like woke, cancel culture, lock step, etc is a way to attempt to silence dissent. That's not a good thing.
It can be
It can also be an attempt to be descriptive without being proscriptive?
A problem I see happening in USA and Canada now is too many terms are becoming Politicized and therefore more difficult to actually talk aboot in a rational or exploratory way. Promoting thinking and speaking in Tribe Slogans (or more words becoming triggers, like how talking aboot sex can be more problematic than talking aboot red). I have actually met one person for whom Woke and CSJ made them feel unsafe.
Not everyone is the same. Not all Woke comerades are the same. Some are more "radical" than others, which again is relative. There is context and such.
Not all GOP are like the mad Confederate wing. Not all Canadians are passive aggressive USAians. And so forth.

A lot of world leaders have broken international laws and are thus war criminals

Even in the USA

Why, Obama even instigated the foreign assassination program where even minors have been killed

Trump is too easy of a target too lol

(why did he become POTUS? because he wasn't inelligable according to the standards set forth in the constitution...being a dick or a pig isn't a reason...)

And so it goes

It can also be an attempt to be descriptive without being proscriptive?

Okay, if "woke" is descriptive, please define the word. Bonus points if you can define it when it is used as an insult.

Not all GOP are like the mad Confederate wing.

Does the GOP even exist in today's Republican party?

Trump is too easy of a target too lol

Is he being unfairly targetted?

What other POTUS has been so targetted?

May I remind you that he is an adjudicated rapist and fraudster.

Go read that thread?
Woke can mean to be Awake. Enlightened.
Woke can be the simpler word for CSJ
Woke also comes from African American slang, predating our current usage.
Woke can be used as an insult. As in probably how you use it a lot or how you feel automatically when you see it or hear it? Mystic seems to use it as a pejorative quite a lot.

Woke is I think (and CSJ) USAian culturally. Which is why so many people from other countries can look at us going "umm, what is going on?" :3
Does the GOP even exist in today's Republican party?
GOP = Republican
Different words meaning the same thing
Is he being unfairly targetted?

What other POTUS has been so targetted?

May I remind you that he is an adjudicated rapist and fraudster.
I wasn't suggesting that
Trump is an easy target :3 I was being descriptive there :3
Hastert is my "fav" GOP sex offender and felon. Man oh man does that party has its problems
More difficult targets are like actual evil people like Shrub Jr. Or likeable people like Obama.

I do know what woke means. When people use it as an insult, they are not using that definition.

Sorry, I was originally reacting to your original " Throwing around words like woke, cancel culture, lock step, etc is a way to attempt to silence dissent..."

And being my hobnobbing optimistic self and saying "it depends" :3

That is part of why we need free speech (which means non gov't interference in our speech)

Cancel culture exists

There are even Wokists who try to cancel people. Struggle sessions. I remember not that long ago there was a movement dedicated to deplatforming university speakers thru poisoning the well and making their university talks cost too much

Not all us Wokists agree. There are different levels of What is Worth for the Greater Good. Some are ok with a Principle Dying for the Greater Work. Some are Ok with several important social program orgs not being able to do their job for the Greater Work. Some are even ok with Promising Professionals early in their career losing forever all that potential for the Greater Work.

Cancel Culture is relative?

Just like humour

And is Canada a good country?

Is Trudeau worth it?

Is the Queen, despite her systemic racism, worth it?

Are my breasts worth it?

It depends :3

When you read or here Woke used as an insult, how do you feel? As bad as if someone used the C word? Merde word?

And what is your default usage of the term? In that what do you first think of when you read or hear it used?

When I am dismissed because I'm "woke" or need to wake up and learn "The Truth" I immediately lose respect for the person throwing out those terms.

If a person has to resort to insults then they can't back up their position.

Throwing out insults only shuts down dissent. We need proper discussion more than ever these days.

How does cancel culture fit into this discussion? Or censorship?

8 EXAMPLES OF WOKE CANCEL CULTURE

1. J. K ROWLINGS

In 2020, she sparked further outrage with an essay in which she asserted that “sex is real” and criticised people for replacing the phrase “woman” with “people who menstruate.” The new phrase is used to differentiate between trans women and people born biologically Her comments led to many calls for her to be “canceled,” with many people vowing to never read her books again. Harry Potter cast members including Daniel Radcliffe, Rupert Grint, and Emma Watson have criticized her comments.

2. Chris Harrison

Chris Harrison was the host of The Bachelor for 20 seasons, from 2002 to 2021.
He was eventually pushed out after defending a former contestant when photos came out of her attending an old south Antebellum party. The party could be seen as celebrating the confederate south and embracing cultural appropriation.

The contestant had attended the party in 2018 at college. In 2021, when the images were released, Harrison responded: “is it a good look in 2018 or is it not a good look in 2021? Because there’s a big difference.”
He later lost his job for defending the photos.

3. Joe Rogan

Joe Rogan’s stance on vaccination, which was seen by many as anti-vax (which Rogan denies), led some musicians to boycott Spotify, the company that hosts his podcast.
The most prominent boycotters were Neil Young and Joni Mitchell, two artists whose heyday was back when musical activism was at its high.

Spotify did not cave to pressure to drop Rogan, but they did roll-out disclaimers on some of his episodes and removed others where he used racist language.

4. Donald Trump

Whether you’re a fan or not, it shouldn’t be controversial to admit that Donald Trump has a long history of using crass and misogynist language.
But it was his support of the January 6 riot which attempted to interrupt the certification of the 2020 election that led to widespread cancellation.
Twitter and Facebook canceled the president’s social media pages, citing their platforms’ policies against endorsing violence.

5. Roseanne Barr

In 2018, the reboot of Roseanne Barr’s iconic sitcom Roseanne was a huge ratings success, with over 18 million viewers tuning in to the premiere episode.
However, just a few months after the show’s return, Barr was fired from her own show after she made a racist remark on Twitter. Barr had been a vocal supporter of Donald Trump, and many felt that a remark she made about Valerie Jarrett, a former advisor to President Obama, was racially charged.
ABC quickly decided to cancel the show, despite its huge ratings.

6. Ben Shapiro

In recent years, Ben Shapiro has become one of the most controversial figures on college campuses. A self-proclaimed “facts don’t care about your feelings” conservative, Shapiro often spouts off inflammatory rhetoric that many students find offensive.
In addition, Shapiro is a staunch supporter of Israel and its actions against Palestine. As a result, many college campuses have chosen to boycott Shapiro and prohibit him from speaking.

Some argue that this is a violation of free speech. After all, Shapiro is entitled to his opinions, no matter how unpopular they may be. Others counter that allowing Shapiro to speak on campus would simply be a platform for hate speech. They argue that his speeches would only serve to further alienate

7. Dr. Seuss

In March 2021, Dr. Seuss Enterprises decided to discontinue publishing 6 Seuss books due to perceived racism within the books and images.
Conservative media, and particularly Fox News, were highly critical of the move, calling it another example of virtue signaling and cancel culture pushing out beloved parts of American culture.
Dr. Seuss Enterprises, on the other hand, had decided that the books were no longer consistent with mainstream values, but did continue to publish other Seuss books that they hoped would remain part of the cultural mili8. 8. 8. BDS Movement

The BDS movement is a global campaign that was launched in 2005 by Palestinian civil society to promote boycotts, divestment, and sanctions against Israel.
Its goal is to pressure Israel to comply with international law and respect the human rights of Palestinians.
The BDS campaign has three main goals: ending the Israeli occupation of Palestinian territories, ensuring equal rights for Palestinian citizens of Israel, and promoting the right of return for Palestinian refugees.
The movement has gained support from a number of high-profile individuals and organizations, including Desmond Tutu, Naomi Klein, and Amnesty International. In recent years, the BDS movement has been successful in persuading a number of companies and universities to withdraw investments from Israel or cancel contracts with Israeli businesses.

Wow Mystic. That post is a mess. You also have a quote attributed to me that I didn't write or say.

People can choose to boycott or avoid businesses that they don't support. They can choose to not vote for or support a president who invokes a riot against the Capitol. If the lack of support affects the bottom line (profits), then things will end. "Free speech" should never cause harm to another.

You forgot to mention how "cancel culture" affected the Dixie Chicks, M&M's, and so many more.

It seems "cancel culture" is only a problem when "the woke" do it.

It seems "cancel culture" is only a problem when "the woke" do it.
As I mentioned earlier, the spiritual ancestors of the modern anti-woke right were the folks trying to ban me from playing D&D and listening to metal. So, yeah, the right have their own version of "wokeness" when it comes right down to it.
