Got any favourite boards?
My favourite cribbage board is the one at the cottage where I learned to play as a kid. Many, many years ago (before I existed, possibly) my grandfather had someone make a coffee table with a cribbage board etched (for the lines) and drilled (for the holes) into the surface. It's so big, we use golf tees as the pegs.

After playing cribbage for many years, it occurred to me that there are a few combinations of cards which guarantee you an extra point or two after the cut.

4 jacks (always worth 13 points)

2, 2, 3, 4

And there are others.

4 aces is only ever worth 12. Nothing combines with it to give you more points.

This sounds great. So sturdy with the golf tees!

Yeah, aces can be useful in pegging but aren't really that helpful in counting your hand. No more so than any other low card anyway.

Imagine Moe 'n blossoming state ... especially since in ancient times Moe was considered the heavenly Ayre in the dark ... as Selene she looks over those under her ... nestlings in the shadow? Partly Nestorian Myth as well woven ..

i survived martin scorcese's Killers of the Flower Moon

another perfect movie to add to my few perfect movies

w O w

over 3 hours long (had to write that as it is a requirement when discussing it)

wonderful
beautiful
joyful
horrible
ugly
nasty

some surprising cameos

DiCaprio isn't pretty in this one at all -- he is a meatball of a man

so neat seeing this, a rich Indiginous people who had everything after having nothing, i liked the contrast with white people being at their beck and call :3

plus some of the women are so beautiful :3

i even recognized some of them from other shows :3 (yay Tantoo Cardinal!)

this isn't a polemical movie, of "white bad, indiginous good", but rather a well told story aboot a real part of USA history

and the director even makes an appearance :3

definitely worth the sheckles movies cost nowadays (and the sofa like seats oooo...SPOILED!!!)

I just watched "The Pilot's Wife" on Tubi. Despite having Amazon Prime and Netflix, I find myself watching the free streaming Tubi more often. I really enjoyed the series "William and Mary", and got a other people hooked on it.

so how was the Pilot's Wife?

oh and Disney has come late to this story

(CBC has been doing this FOREVER already and is a brilliant Christmas tradition)

The Shepherd by Forsyth

I remember reading 'The Pilot's Wife' a long time ago. I thought the movie was good, and now I wonder how all the flashbacks were done in the book. I may have to have another look.

I find things to watch on Tubi too. There are a couple of brief commercials during a movie, but hey, it's free. Pluto is another, but not as much there. On both apps, there's an absolute trash heap of really bad movies to sift through.

Did you ever get to read the whole trilogy?

Sea Glass and Fortune's Rocks?

it is an app that either came with my s20 fe or appeared on one of the updates
I have to check and see if I have it. Sounds interesting. Haven't watched any old Who in a long time. Always thought it would only work with their own TVs. Though we are looking at a Samsung TV that's on sale at Costco right now.
