The lepers danced and sang ... and the authorities didn't like it as it was outside of protocol! It is institutional in many edifices ... no displays of health in church, please! We gather the flawed for indoctrination! To do otherwise is suicidal ... tyranny has the purpose of avarice no matter the cost to the integral (whole thing)! That's ultimate right ... extreme terror ...

Story of the 10 healed lepers, right?
This story has the lepers receiving healing because they ask Jesus for mercy. One of the ten, who happens to be a Samaritan, expresses his thanks.

How does this address the point made by @jimkenney12?
Conversations with God by Neale Donald Walsh has a section on praying like Jesus means giving thanks for receiving what you need before you have received it, praying as though you believe you will receive it.

Both David Baldacci and Scott Peck wrote novels about In Heaven as On Earth ... yet mortals devise a way of dividing the house! Just be mindful about the topic ... it will blow!

Bits, pieces and fragments will be rejected ... while many remain befuddled and blind to ...

Will there be jostling and jousting for position? Thus palls and nebulae ... fuzzy logy ... once known as Logi! Did you see that go down ????

All in support of mindless passions ...

I was in error. The only verse I found was John 11:41, the raising of Lazarus, where Jesus says thank you to God before Lazarus comes out of the tomb. In the story of the demon possessed boy after the transfiguration, he explains in Luke that it took prayer to heal the boy but his prayer is not mentioned in the story. This implies his prayers are usually silent prayers followed by his commands to those being healed or his actions for those being healed. I still prefer to offer thanks in prayer for anticipated gifts, to speak with confidence in receiving what is needed.

Agree that it is "best practice" to give thanks ahead even if Jesus did not specifically encourage it. I do that in other parts of my life so why not in reaching out to God?

For sure we can pray any way we wish. Prayer is an interesting subject.

If something is interesting does it need to be curios and somewhat of a mystery ... like a spark arising from a book (story, embedded in a tome-as rising house rules)? Thus MS 't Razzes ... as ruse ... and some aliens get really stirred up as dervishes ... dirt on the horizon?

May cause mental shivers or psyche Shiva ... thus that out there in Ka Dash sentient! Kadesh was once a word for lifeless stories ... needing a spark ... the myth evolved ... no questions? There is reason for that ... the entire topic was baffling to the receiver! Causing a mindless state ... dark spots?

Often happens in a story of passion or love's torpid effect! Stunned rite ...

The thing about the lepers is that they weren't immediately healed. They were healed while they were walking to the priests to be declared clean. So I was thinking of the time lag between Jesus asking for their healing, and it being accomplished.

Some claim Jesus is God, would he even have to ask?

If God was everything and permeated everything ... would this be an enigma except for those that believed nothing of a sort (as they could not accept eternal conceptions)? Might this show up as holes in such BS ... and essence of Holy Space? Here the light shines through as gracious mistakes ... fallacy?

In a dead ringer that would account for d' Bell surrounding yah ... some refer to her as a Dark Lass (perhaps resembling Maria La Veau) and leading to a sea of desire as a time when all thought departs ... MOG could this be? Mull OCH Entire ... a legend to chew upon ...

In fact, in Luke's account of the ten lepers, he doesn't. He just tells them to go see the priests.

Isn't it ironic that we have been reflecting on the God of peace just as war has broken out in the Middle East?

The news reports, language of war & accounts of casualties become commonplace so quickly.

Let's not forget that there's been a major war happening for over a year in Ukraine. Between two nominally Christian states to boot.

The Russian patriarch wants access to the Cathedral in Ukraine and to be seen as the patriarch for all Orthodox people.
