Anybody watching the Netflix series on Harry and Meghan?
I've been watching and really have no problem with them calling out the press for their sensational reporting, although the Britsh public and some in the family seem to be in an uproar about the publicity, even though the King and the immediate family dont seem to have come right out and said anything to the press about the series.
What do you think, should they be talking about their experience?

Sensationalism disposes of the lower, deeper senses as Sue-La ... understood?

Yet mortals trend that way until something breaks out and cracks let the light shine through ... even in de Belle ... an Elle? It tolls tu ...

I was not interested in the Harry and Meghan program then I was curious. I saw The Behavior Panel (YouTube) discuss it and now I'm not sure. I may watch it.

I wasnt going to either, but I found myself looking at all the fluff anyway, lol.
I watched it although I fell asleep in the final episode. It gave some insight into their situation and a degree of sympathy for them. I found them quite self indulgent though and not really aware of how very privileged they are.

It is also interesting that Meghan is defining herself as a black woman now. I didn't even recognize her as mixed race when she first arrived on the scene.

She is very light skinned, but she is definitely mixed race.
I couldnt believe some of the pics posted of their child as a monkey. I really think she did put up with alot of negative input from outside sources.
I actually wish she and Harry stayed in the palace and shook it up more....it needs it in some ways IMO.
And I think Harry was right when he said that the royal family lost a brilliant connection with many of their black commonwealth countries.

That was one thing the Behavior Panel noted. They felt too that they could have celebrated a lot of the good things they have in their lives now.

I've had some sympathy for Harry. His mother died because of the paparazzi so he would want to protect his wife from the same fate.

This is The Behavior Panel FYI

Yes of course. I was just saying I didn't realize she was mixed race until it was pointed out to me. Same phenomenon has happened to me with real life acquaintances a few times as well.

It's happened to me too. I wonder if " we white people" shift our narrative about someone when we find out? It felt like the press did it... and probably I did too.

Interesting, 4 white men dissecting Harry and Meghan. No women or different ethnicities.
I cant take their comments seriously because of it.

They are excellent in general. I do agree about the four white men aspect. There have been times where I've felt they missed the mark because they don't have a female voice. Having a person of colour would also help.

So these.four guys are experts in body language and communication? I had never heard them until now

Not yet, but definitely in the plans! The fb algorithm seems to think I'm very into the royals or something and I see so much hate directed to Meghan there. It's really excessive and reeks of a strong classism from some that I just don't see in the people around me. Not sure if that's from UK posters mostly.

This probably needs to be its own thread, but I am of two minds about the Sussexes. One the one hand, giving a figurative middle finger to the royal machine is something that I am largely in favour of. The family is bloated and dehumanizing and has been for a very long time. Their struggles at least seem to inject some humanity into it all, as did Harry's mother's. OTOH, their approach to doing so smacks of narcissism and they do come off as more than a little self-centred at times (a blueblood and a former TV actress being self-centred, who woulda thunk?). Whatever the case, I am rather sick of hearing about the whole mess. I do not believe that I owe that family, including King Charles, any respect. They should have to earn it like anyone else. And neither the Sussexes nor the Palace have accomplished that so far.

Christmas on a mistletoe farm sounds like a bit of a nightmare, really. Take two steps, kiss, take two steps, kiss... :ROFLMAO:

Actually it isn't the typical love story. It's a family who goes to the farm. They meet the people of the nearby village. These people are real characters. It's a funny movie and a nice diversion from the Hallmark romance version of Christmas movies.
