Yes. Get all your meds at one pharmacy, for sure.
It was lucky I had the one I needed filled on paper - prescribed by the specialist. The advantage of the big chains is that the one I went to on short notice didn’t have these pills in stock but were able to call/ send over on computer to get it filled at another of their stores on the island. I might leave the small place for convenience - but it’s also convenient to have a pharmacy in the same building as my GP. Except she’s on a yr leave and i have only had phone appts with her for months previous. However, it is close to me. I feel like they are more thorough at the little clinic one - they deal with lots of patients/ customers with complex health issues and are in the same building as several of the doctors prescribing - I think that’s a good thing. Helps with keeping at least current medical history in the same place.

Good morning! How is everyone? Talks of tests and waiting, knee and patella (mis)adventures and braces, pharmacies and prescriptions, etc. The coffee cart is up and running, we can chat and continue to supply advice to the medical professionals, and the &%#$@'s in provincial governments who control them. All is ready.

Good morning. It’s a cool and rainy day today. Disappointed not to see the sun but I welcome the cooler temperature. Yesterday wasn’t bad but it’s been stifling hot the previous few days - or maybe I was just having more hot flashes than usual, lol. It can be hard to tell in warm weather. Where I’m staying felt like a hothouse and I couldn’t get the air flowing very much. I had a better sleep as a result of the weather change. Interestingly, in BC, hardly anyone has AC. I’ve never had it anywhere I’ve lived. It’s a worthwhile thing to have if we get more heat domes.

We had coffee outside this morning but found ourselves getting too hot. Yesterday was very hot and today is predicted to be hotter. The a/c will be running again!

It's a cool sunny morning here. We will be meeting friends at a local restaurant that specializes in breakfast. We haven't seen each other in many years. They moved back here after several years on the Sunshine Coast.

Is there room for this consideration?

In another discussion someone was fretting over how far a million $ would go in retirement! Is this for real?

Consider all the folk looking at going into retirement with nothing as they struggled with the raw edge of survival to keep others better off in their labouring period! Is this human waste?????

Lazy day at the cottage. Hardly done anything today. Totally fine with it.
Isn't that what cottages are for? I'm heading to our family cottage soon. First time since Little M was, well, still little. It's closer to Ottawa than here, too, so we'll try to slip in a visit as well.

We had a nice breakfast with old friends we haven't seen in ages. It was really nice to catch up with them. Unfortunately, his diabetes was acting up so the visit got cut a bit short. We'll see them again before we go.

We drove around town a bit and saw our old house. Lots of changes in town and lots of same old same old. It's interesting how that works.

We'll be going to visit some other friends this afternoon.

We will also have some laziness.

I haven't been to my old neighbourhood in Kitchener in years. We took Little M to see it back around the time he started high school, I think. Should pop by sometime when I am at my brother's place, which isn't that far away.

We are one third owners. Makes for interesting decision making.
I could have had 1/3 of Dad's half but decided against it. Could get messy with four owners, three of whom would technically own only a 1/6 share (1/3 of 1/2), and we were not using it at the time, preferring to save our vacation time for travelling. Another brother felt the same, so we handed over our shares to the third brother in return for more of the financial part of the estate. So it's just him and the aunt, but he lets us use it. We'll kick in some funds to the joint account they use to pay taxes, insurance, etc.

Had a quick visit from a son/family and birth mother/partner. Grateful for a/c and doughnuts from the local bakery. 31 is too warm for comfort!

Yes, supposed to be that sorta temp off and on for the next couple of weeks. Got lamb shanks braised in the oven tonight before it got too hot. I have liver and sweet potato chips to make for the granddog, but hoping the new dehydrator is cooler than the oven.

Good morning, all! We give thanks for days at the cottage, a/c and doughnuts, quick visits and long conversations, and the chance to ponder how far a million bucks would take us. For these and other conversations, serious or not so serious, the coffee cart stands ready to host. C'mon in and join the fun.

Donuts appear to be holy food as is the bag el! If bagged could start something as elle takes over ...

Life is like that ... flashy ... sort of off and on again ... ephemeral and flighty ... whether day or night versions ... honky?

Good morning. Hubby has headed off to the golf course while I am here. A friend and former coworker will be coming over for a visit in an hour or so. We had breakfast with her and her spouse yesterday and had an enjoyable visit. We went to friends for a visit yesterday afternoon. That was a trip and both of us had to do some tongue biting. He is a retired RCMP who has always had very black and white, conservative views. She was always more moderate. They are unvaxxed and recently recovered from being quite sick. She knows they had covid, he doesn't believe it was covid. We were treated to some wild theories and such. It was exhausting. They have a fabulous garden and have been growing more of their own veggies. They are working on being more self-sufficient. They want to move to a rural property so they can be more self-sufficient. The "woke" mayor of this town won't let them have chickens in their backyard.

So, today is another day. I'm thankful I didn't live here during the pandemic. I look forward to a visit with my friend this morning and the "woke mayor" and her husband this afternoon.
