I biked this morning...can't seem to do more than 1.5 kms at a time yet...I got the raking done this week, some pruning LAST month that I didn't get done in the fall...need to repair the labyrinth path before I order rock for it...and I need to do a LOT of weedingI haven't even started yard work yet. Don't have much to do, either. Probably going biking this afternoon since my bike is ready for the season and Mrs. M needs to try out her new one.
I never even really learned it. -40 is the same both C and F. 100F is hot and hotter than anything typically seen here (maybe last year we approached that on the hottest day? Freezing point, I'm sure I had that in my short term memory at one point.Last as I wonder if AB still uses Fahrenheit to measure temps.....![]()
Yes, we had a few 100F days LAST year.I never even really learned it. -40 is the same both C and F. 100F is hot and hotter than anything typically seen here (maybe last year we approached that on the hottest day? Freezing point, I'm sure I had that in my short term memory at one point.
I have figured out AC settings too, but that was likely very situational dependent as I find often the AC setting is different than the actually temperature in most of a room.
Out of all the common imperial measurements temperature is not one I ever really used as a kid except when in the US, which was a few times. For example, 50F? No clue what I need to wear other than knowing that's below comfortable indoor temperatures and it's not winter cold. I would have to convert it for it to be useful info.
Roughly...For the record, 50F is about 10C.
Oh, that's a nice easy one to remember! For the record, 50F is about 10C.
And ultimately, it doesn't matter what the thermometer says if it's windy or humidOh, that's a nice easy one to remember!
I do remember experiencing 110-115 heat. We wondered if the AC in the vehicle was working until we actually stopped.IIRC, it was well past 100F when we returned to Vegas after our driving tour of the US Southwest a few years ago. Probably around 40C or maybe a bit more, which is 104F. That's probably the highest temperature I've experienced. However, humidity bothers me more than heat so the worst I have experienced was probably some of our trips to tropical rain forests in places like Costa Rica and Panama where the heat was not as bad, but the humidity was brutal.
