Nasty wind can be bad enough. Now that my glasses are gone, I find wind in the face bothers my eyes more. Guess my glasses acted as a windbreak. Sunglasses help but sometimes it is too dark for them.

Yes, glasses provide more protection than we realize. Winds were up to 50 km/hr sustained, I never did hear what the gusting speed was

Yeah, I wouldn't be out in that if I could avoid it. Even with glasses.
