My son took all but four doughnuts home with him. He is 50 (or 22) and the only one of my kids that visits or phones regularly.
I did have a lovely couple of hours with a DIL and the youngest grandude on Saturday.. Fed them cabbage roll soup and home made buns before they went to a local event.
Hubby grabbed the opportunity to fill DIL's car with empty sealers and jam jars. We haven't made use of them for several years and she will enjoy filling them. She is known for her excellent pickles and sells them.

Good morning. It has already been a busy couple hours. Hubby had to take his truck to the body shop. The dealership damaged it last time he was there and they've only just gotten the parts so it can be fixed. I believe the dealership needs to give him a couple oil changes or something as an apology. Mr Northwind is too nice though and likely won't ask for that. I went to pick hubby up. I got home and called the pharmacy to get my meds. They were ready so I went back out. Of course the pharmacy is on the route to the body shop. When I got up to the hospital (pharmacy) I realized I could have gotten my bloodwork done today while I was there. I didn't have the paperwork. Sooooo, I'll get bloodwork done tomorrow.

I'm enjoying a cup of ginger tea now.

Listened to the radio this morning. They had an interview with an Ukrainian in a small village who is running a radio station from this small cottage. He had to flee only able to take one microphone. Then had to register for the military, but when he said he was doing radio and can’t shoot, they told him to go and do what he can do best-and they do need radio for announcements. So speaking about what role his radio station plays, he said he is playing music for all civilians sitting in bunkers and basements and they are singing along. He also communicates needs and people hear it and drop things off. Then he said he is also telling jokes. I ‘d love to retell here the one he told, but thats not possible. ( go to the Current from today). There are horrible and amazing things happening in Ukraine.

Heard that too - it was fascinating.

Good morning! For the radio broadcasts that helps unite a besieged people we give thanks. For bakery and bread puns we rejoice. For the opportunity to gather in spirit round the coffee cart, we are grateful. All is ready, maybe even some baked goodies. Enjoy.

Then there was the article about how Putin said the Ukrainian Identity must be erased ... giving soldiers a license to kill.

If this sounds similar to Mylai Massacre, did Scott Peck strike it right on the road we travel to forget past lessons ... thus dark pasts? Do shadows haunt even folk like Plato because of his toxified friend ... just anothe branch of the great tree ... ignored again in the deposing of wisdom!

Is the earth as place of myrtle and myrde ire a designated place for spirits to beat out their negativities and hatred to raise positivism in the our reaches?

Is there reason for really strong physical beings to hate thought and psyche? Thus it goes ... all for the love of money IHC! Altruism goes down the pipes ...

Could only a fat head believe such things as stuffed with "nard" and old word for testicles and later a sense of Cajon's in fighting excessive bull ...

The in medical terms the brain is said to be the largest gonad in the body ... leaving many questions to be probed about ... spike & ard? Closed to nailed or onyx ... a dark fastener used for metaphoric attachment ... as you cannot deal with altruism when in the company of tyranny!

Allows the basis for some people to understand lies when they encounter them ... some do not have the balls for truth due to financial attachments that are overwhelming ... some father figures will even sell their daughters ... will they ever encounter their errors in way ...

While we appreciate all who post in the Room for All, we would ask that posts be expressed in plain, comprehensible English. Some who come here looking for solace or comfort, and meeting up with a wall of obtuse prose, may find discouragement and confusion instead. May we respectfully request all posts in the Room be easily understood by the average reader. Thank you for your consideration.

We would also request that partisan politics be kept to a minimum in this forum, as this is a place for community building and support, rather than rabble rousing. Thanks you again.

Had follow up with the Ortho surgeon today. Was hoping the cast off and maybe a splint- after all, he stabilized my wrist with a plate, but ,yikes, had a brief glance at the xray before they put my dislocated wrist back in place- I thought it was a foot and not a hand- nothing was aligned, and the x-ray after- not sure how many bones were actually broken and fixed with the plate, but there was also a piece floating around at the ulnar that he didn’t fixated. So I got another cast (/I chose purple) for the next four weeks. The surgeon is an an excellent surgeon but with lacking bedside manners, so I think I need to check with my doc for details of the OR report. I got the impression there is a good chance this will not work again the way it did before once it’s healed…..

Sorry you got a doc without the required excellent communication skills. It makes a difficult time much harder.
It sounds like you made quite a mess of that wrist. They don't respond well to complicated breaks so I'll cross my fingers for your recovery.

I am glad now that ribs don't usually move around much (I am in quite a bit less pain, but I occasionally feel the ribs "grate" against each other, which is gross). *ouch*, Mrs.A. And yeah, I hate those doctors with a poor bedside manner. Like, why the hell did they get into a "caring profession"?

Sadly true re bedside manner of a number of surgeons I have met - as someone said to me once - there's a reason they choose surgery - most of their time is spent with unconscious patients!

Sorry to hear about the messy fractures Mrs.A - heal well with your new cast - purple is the colour of spring crocuses I think :)

And glad to hear you too are feeling a bit better Bette! How's the hound - is somebody else walking it for you?
