So I am writing today the last five letters for the Write for Rights campaign. It is fairly easy because they do have sample letters one can use or modify. Once in a while I have to look up a word I am not familiar with. So I had to look up “ trumped up” = to concoct especially with intent to deceive . Didn’t know that and was wondering if that meaning was just created during the term of the previous US president?
 
I've heard that phrase used for made-up or inflated accusations since I was a youth in the wilds of Pennsylvania. The use of the phrase long predates the presidency of He Who Must Not Be Named.

The hint is that one is not to praise and bow to such gods ... cause they are not what they appear to be as inflated from quantum status as HSng in the silence or other wise pfff'ð by myths long gone by ... but as flawed by human recall ... memes gone by?

Powers advise us that this is stuff that shouldn't be known by those subjugated ... there are alternate gods not observed from some objectives ... thus virtuous loss according to unbalanced justice systems ... unless there is a scouting essence --- Attica?

Yeah, I don't know the exact etymology, but trumped up is old. "Trumped up charges" meaning criminal charges falsely laid to get someone out of the way or punish them unjustly predates me for sure.
 
Interesting. Merriam Webster doesn't mention the "trumped up charges" meaning. It does say that the use of it to mean something overriding something else, esp. in cards, goes back to the 14th century so assuming the meaning we are discussing is derived from that, it could be quite old.

Then if one checks out the older meaning as understood about "dox" there are comments made to undermine some one contrary!

Thus certain paradox for sure pop up!

An acquaintance said that if we don't get hit by an asteroid we are OK ... like don't sweat the little matters! Viral things and atomic outbursts from them that don't know how to connect with the bottom ... doesn't that cap things off ... so brute totals up! There's a force to contend with that we cannot observe from where we are at ...

Next stage; getting out ...
 
Good morning. It is warmer here now and it has been raining all night. There will be puddles and swimming holes around the area today. The snow is retreating. Slush abounds
 
A quiet day here. Tidying up after having friends in for supper last night, and a game of "Ticket to Ride" - our first time playing it & we enjoyed it. Caught up with a friend by phone - she had been ill most of the holidays but now starting to feel better. Finished up our 'escape room' jigsaw puzzle - that was interesting! Looked at the snow, but didn't venture out - must get myself moving again.

Wound a skein of yarn - yikes 800m! I'm practicing hand-winding a centre-pull ball, so that's interesting & I hope it works! But I think shawl I will end up knitting with start with the lighter colour end of the skein - which as it turns out is on the outer layer of this ball! Still pondering the choice of pattern.

We have BBC First channel for free at the moment, so we watched an episode of Top Gear. Our dtr & partner introduced us to it when were visiting a while ago. A trio of overage British frat boys who love vehicles get up to some interesting adventures and pranks - that's the best I can do summarize it. Silly fun.

Set the PVR to start recording a new Masterpiece Theatre series tonight - a remake of Jules Verne's Around the World in 80 days ... might be interesting.

An on we go into the first week of 2022!
