Seemed to stop here mid-morning but supposed to get snow mixed with ice pellets as the day wears on so more to come. I will just hunker down in LAST.

In cheerful, and sorta seasonal, LAST news, last week I bought a Timmy's gift card for my postal carrier. You must understand that every day this poor woman arrives on the street, my dog tries to lunge through windows threatening to kill her. Lucy hates postal carriers, and all delivery people, with every single ounce of her rather small hound-y brain. If I'm there at the time, I redirect her; otherwise, she's quite mad.

Today, with my Christmas cards, in my mail, was a Christmas card from her, thanking me for the Tim's card. Reciprocal kindness prevails, dog notwithstanding.

Looking out on a bright but crispy morning with only one goldfinch at the feeder and a brisk breeze causing the neighbour's spruce trees to wave. The snow forms a soft white canvas for shadows from the trees.

Kind of a slushy, icy mess around here. Warm-ish on Monday so melted what we had, then cold since with no precip so the remnants froze. Supposed to snow tonight, though. Then showers tomorrow and warm on Christmas Day so probably back to slushy, icy mess again by Sunday.
