He added a lot of interest to the history of the POTUS. His term in office will be studied and analyzed for a long time. It will have to be to prevent anyone wanting to follow in his footsteps. He didn't add any integrity or honesty, or respect to the position though. He took away from any that was there.

What is the consequence of doing nothing in the light of brute and bullish authority? Wasn't this attempted with Hitler and other fascists? Did that support the peace long term?

Did he leave out NO murder on purpose? It seems I always have to second guess this president.
bulls**t Rita. Trump deployed the National Guard to the BLM protests with no problem, against citizens protesting police abuse that has happening against their communities for decades. They were promptly put down and denounced by the far-right. And Trump did nothing to prevent what happened on Jan 6th because he was too busy egging it on. ...and when Charlottesville happened he called the white supremacists "fine people". They weren't stopped. And a peaceful protester was killed standing on a corner.
When Trump's own thug following -99.9% white men that were present - committed inserrection on the Capitol, and he cheered them on - the National Guard were not there. And a policeman was killed. Hit in the head by a fire extinguisher by a gang of thugs -thugs were also calling for the VP to be killed and were moments away from storming the congress chamber that had been in session, to go after them physically, before congress members were ushered out. The National Guard was called in today, after the fact, to ward off further rioters from coming to cause violence and harm at the Capitol, and people there, while impeachment proceedings commenced - not-premptively, as was the case with the George Floyd/ BLM protests. Given that lawmakers in the congress chambers had to duck and cover from the real potential of being killed or taken hostage by men with zip ties they brought in for that purpose - I'd say you can save your police state dystopian fantasies this time.
