Anyone else feel uneasy not knowing what Trump is up to? Normally we get his tweets all day long that - despite being bs content - were a pretty good indication of his state of mind.

It's nice not to hear from him - kind of. It'll be nicer to not hear from him when he can't do any more harm.

Second impeachment might start today. On principle, even with less than 2 weeks left of his presidency, what happened January 6th needs to have political consequences as well as legal ones.

Thing is, the Senate trial can still go on after January 20. The outcome would be that if convicted, Trump would be prevented from running in 2024. So there is a point to continuing with the impeachment even given Trump's short time remaining in the Oval Office. And that alone might convince a few GOP Senators to vote to convict. Keeping him off the ballot and out of the primaries in 2024 has to be seen as a net good for that party now.

Plus, I believe, if he is impeached and convicted, he loses his presidential pension (which I think is $200K per annum) and his $1M per annum travel allowance. So it isn't just being tossed out a few days early, it has financial reverberations as well. If he's as deeply in debt as some have claimed. that would be a real kidney punch to him. (Besides being permanently ineligible to hold office, at any level, ever again).

Given their behaviour on Wednesday, the Spawn of Trump should be happy if the FBI leaves them alone. Anyone running against Ivanka or whoever will be using it against them.
 
Yes, the more I see of that family, the more I'm convinced that a decent eugenics program would have ensured that the Drumpf's genetic material wasn't unleashed on the world. (Tongue-in-cheek, of course...)

Relax ... it is all a matter of bowing to big economies' ... that blinds intelligence, data and thought (coming or going)! Could be be in excess state of imbalance regarding that thin red line? Power does swing like axis ...
 
Oh, come on, Rita, do cease the melodrama. If differences of opinions make you feel "unsafe", maybe you should go find some cotton wool to wrap yourself in.

Oh, come on Bette, ... tongue in cheekiness is not a defense for hate speech ... which is what it would be called if Trump said it about Biden's 'Spawn'.

Oh, for fertility sake, Bette ... seeds that are spread grow up to adapt to the terrain in which they are spread or they don't.
