The advantage of shopping at big box stores is that they have a lot more space and you have to go just into one store for multiple different things. They also seem to have the directional aisles and waiting dots down pretty well. Now, this is speaking of rural NS, where we don’t have many crowds anyway.
I went to the local healthfood store for the first time last week- narrow isles, no directions, people standing in the way, chatting. Not going back there, just didn’t feel safe, no way of keeping distance. If you go to big stores at a time when it is not busy, keeping distance is no problem. Maybe small stores should concentrate on organizing delivery for people choosing to stay at home to stay afloat.
