To be clear, I would happily argue that some people are, indeed, to blame for their fate. Just not necessarily the same ones PG13 is blaming. Though living an unhealthy lifestyle in a pandemic, as some do appear to be doing, seems rather unwise.
Living an unhealthy lifestyle at any time will bring unwelcome consequence. Obesity is a precursor to all manor of physical and psychological distress. Obesity being rooted in poor diet.

Not always see my earlier post. People can be obese while actually having a healthy amount of muscle fat etc.

Thanks for the correction. Had just talked to Barbara and she reminded me that obesity has various causes, such as glandular failure.

That sounds pretty simplistic. Obesity is also connected to a physical inability to exercise. And to certain medications. And to certain diseases that interfere with the way the body reacts to substances. And to heredity. And to mental illness and stress and life circumstances at certain times.

This is what Costco looks like in Winnipeg ... Chips and Coke essential ...

Promoting obesity seems to be a marketing essential staple in the times of carona but don't dare try to buy your kids a book.

I haven't paid attention to all the differences between provinces, there's just too many changes. I didn't realize they were doing the you can buy this/not that there. I don't agree with doing that. Shutting change rooms it one thing. DItto with not allowing certain services that may normally be allowed in a store. Or if there's a certain health concern (ie. not having things in help yourself bins right now). The above is a bit ridiculous.

One thing I've learned since my diagnosis is there is a certain crap shoot quality to cancer. I've met women who were vegan and exercising who were diagnosed, women who ate poorly and didn't exercise and everything inbetween. While eating properly and exercising is wise, it's also no guarantee.

Genes play a big role.

The advantage of shopping at big box stores is that they have a lot more space and you have to go just into one store for multiple different things. They also seem to have the directional aisles and waiting dots down pretty well. Now, this is speaking of rural NS, where we don’t have many crowds anyway.
I went to the local healthfood store for the first time last week- narrow isles, no directions, people standing in the way, chatting. Not going back there, just didn’t feel safe, no way of keeping distance. If you go to big stores at a time when it is not busy, keeping distance is no problem. Maybe small stores should concentrate on organizing delivery for people choosing to stay at home to stay afloat.

I have found the big box stores horrific for social distancing(I'm talking in big cities which is where Costco and Walmarts are usually located.....going the wrong way in the aisles.....and employees that think they are exempt from the rules.
Smaller stores are easier to manage if only 2 or 3 are allowed in at a time IMO.
I tend to shop in grocery stores in smaller nearby towns when Covid levels are increased.

In Winnipeg we have a multitude of “Dollar” stores. In every one there is a large candy aisle. This permitted by law even though sugar used in excess is a contributing source of disease. Another major corporate contributer is Coca Cola. They sell sugar water to young and old. This by the influence of advertising stating “Coke Adds Life”.

Cancer has always been present to our human being. It has reached epidemic proportions in our time. It comes into play when cells are distorted by various influences. These include the quality of water and air. Two elements of creation that we have polluted by our progressive ideologies.
