Novel Coronavirus

If testing is necessary to diagnose Covid-19, then the disease can’t be as dangerous as it is made out to be.

This confuses me. The virus has a very wide range of symptoms; from asymptomatic to a complete organ breakdown. So, yeah, it can be: dangerous, and for some, not dangerous. It definitely seems to target those with pre-existing vascular difficulties.

Meaning they already know about them? If so they should be more careful ... as I am sure they should be more careful about many conditions that could complicate their preexisting ones.
Reminds me of my mother. I trip and fall down and hurt myself: “You should’ve avoided that crack in the pavement/ corner of the rug, etc. You should’ve picked up your feet. You shouldn’t have dragged your toes.”

"Grandmas Against Lockdowns" ... I enjoy knowing a lot of these GALs ... they understand that their lives are not more important than their grandchildren's freedom to thrive.

If a person catches covid and gets really sick - maybe they have a preexisting condition they don’t know about (ooh! Should they have had a full medical check up, MRI, exrays, bloodwork, etc. sooner to find out if they might have something before they went anywhere?) - maybe they don’t have a preexisting condition. Maybe they’re a bit overtired and they get hit harder...for whatever reason, and they caught it at the grocery store from someone who was not wearing a mask. Maybe the one not wearing a mask was a big person with big lung capacity, whose lungs project their breath out at a higher quantity and velocity - and the person who caught it from them and got really sick was just unfortunate to have breathed in their aerosol. What if the other person not wearing a mask could’ve slowed down and prevented the virus from reaching the other - by wearing a mask - so they didn’t get really sick and end up in ICU? Is it the newly and very sick person who was wearing a mask’s fault for getting groceries that day?

I do not understand the question.
Wearing a mask is being more careful. You don’t advocate that it become a habit. Even though it would help prevent others from getting sick. Instead you blame the others who are more likely to catch it from a maskless person who carries it, for being in the wrong place at the wrong time, while preeexisting with a complication.

As a general rule I do not choose to frequent any establishment that requires me to wear a mask. I am absolutely opposed to children being forced to wear masks as a habit ... I consider it child abuse. If you really 'believe' in masking the way you profess you do ... then I expect you will be wearing a mask for the rest of your life now ?

I got into the habit of wearing a seatbelt everytime I get into a car that is about to move on the road. I think I can get into the habit of wearing a mask everytime I shop in a store or ride a city bus. It’s not that big a deal. Honestly.
