TRUMP - Some people think......... How do you feel?

By the by, whatever became of that 'brilliant' Mid East Peace Plan that Trump and his son-in-law Jared Kushner cooked up a while back? Haven't heard too much about it lately, it seemed to crash-and-burn inside of fifteen minutes.

To be fair, it took Israel something like a year to form a stable government, which tends to make anything involving them difficult.

Here is the paradox of Netanyahu’s prolonged tenure: “Stable government” never sounded so hollow.

Israel has become a state where there is an election every two years, or in which the possibility that new elections will be called is a constant.

They are always very expensive and their outcome does not permit a stable foreign-policy horizon or economic recovery.

This is a country whose parliamentary rule is incapable of welding its political parties together.

It is headed by a dictator and is in the midst of shattering into tiny fragments.

Neither right nor left, but rather an irrevocable disintegration.

While you wait, a little joke for your entertainment.

Why did the chicken cross the road?

For a photo op in front of a church.

Yes, but did the chicken have dozens of other chickens in battle gear clear the route first.

Your point would have more weight without the insult.
Yeah, I'm not holding my breath. Still, a girl can hope.....

Or you could address what Pontifex actually posted which was .... corruption and abuse of power of a previous administration directing the FBI the CIA Law Enforcement and Intelligence to fraudulently target their political opposition as in ...

Sen. Hawley blasts Rosenstein for his "rubber-stamp" of the wiretap application to investigate the 2016 Trump campaign.

Senator Cruz also has a good point about what would happen if the shoe was on the other foot.

If the Trump administration did this to Biden, the reaction would be very different.

@Pontifex Geronimo 13 ... I for one watched the video and I get your point ...

Let the Trump bashing narrative resume ....

If you had read my post you would have seen I addressed him directly. Maybe I didn't ask your questions. Oh well. I did address him directly.

@Ritafee Trump counts on the narrative of "poor baby Trump. Look what they did to him." They didn't do anything but investigate him for various corruption. And he got away with it anyway because he's stacked the Supreme Court and hand picked a loyal AG (there is a deep state and he hired them - it's not a secret). It's a red herring. He's told police to "dominate the streets"; and look at what police brutality that has resulted in, in cities across the US. Now. Today. Not last year and what happened to poor baby Trump. Look what he is doing to his own citizens...the orders he has given (whether they're binding or not they are influential) just a few days ago.

Oh, and your hero Trump never ONCE said anything NASTY about Obama, whilst President Obama was in office? like, for example, that he was born in Kenya? or ANYTHING at all like that?

Let the covfefe and hamberder-inspired delusion continue.

Yes, Trump used racism to generate or instigate the underlying white nationalist sentiment - first against Obama (the Republicans quashed everything good Obama tried to do, including police reform Obama wanted to happen - they treated everything Obama touched like it was tainted), then all over the US. That was Trump's tactic for being in the media spotlight prior to running for president. Divide and conquer. And of course the stuff Rita's reading and watching wants her to look the other way and head down the right wing rabbit hole - you're being gaslit down that hole and I am using the term appropriately.

In order to ignore what Trump's doing in reality, now, and take the position that you'll "theoretically" only look at it after GWB has been charged with war crimes - one has to be pretty comfortable - as though racism against people of colour is only an abstract "idea". That takes a lot of white privelege to be able to do that.

Criticizing GWB or Trump is not an either or. It's not a question of chronological priority either ie. GWB was bad first so it's a priority to charge him first. No. That's faulty logic brought to you by people who don't want you to see what's right in front of you @Ritafee. What's happening in the streets today, now, is important.

In case anyone is interested in facts. Obama wrote a very anti America book called Dreams of My Father when he was a senator. Alex Jones or Donald Trump or whoever you want to blame did not start the rumour that Obama was born in Kenya. It was right on the cover of his book. When he finally produced the Hawaii birth certificate, it was not a real image or photograph of the actual certificate. It was photoshopped. So wherever he comes from, it was his book that claimed he was born in Kenya. Time to get over it. But you can’t. Because if Donald trump said it, it eats you alive, you need that seething hate burning inside. It gives you some important connection to the big hate blob. Feed the blob. Good little pavlov’s dog. Your programming is complete.

I was just going to drop by and leave the Cruz video. Knew it would be incomprehensible to the mushrooms, bust some day in the future it’s possible a miracle could happen?

I own the book. I have read it. It's called "Dreams from My Father", actually, and in it, Obama claims that his father was born in Kenya. Not he.

It's a memoir. I don't know what's anti-American about it, except that a bunch of people who don't like President Obama probably don't like his memoir much, either.

I have my qualms with Obama, but I never discounted the fact that he was a target of racism his entire presidency (yes that was a big deal and it did impede his effectiveness to pass just policies) ...and the man who helped instigate it to get media attention building up to his own political run, was Trump.

Obama was born in Hawaii. Period.

But even if he was born in Kenya (he was not), he's a long time American citizen. His mother was American. The right wouldn't have objected nearly as much if, say, Arnold Schwarzenegger ran.

Barack Obama is a very articulate man. You don't become editor of the Harvard Law Review without that talent. He seems to write most of what he reads/speaks. He's really easy to listen to, as an intelligent, well-informed person.

Now, there have been dumber people in his position who have relied on other people to make them look smarter, and then read the text obediently. And that can work out, sort of okay. I'm thinking of poor Reagan, suffering from dementia, who clearly had to have help to cope with the latter years of his presidency.

Then, there's "dumb as a bag of hammers" and "I'll Tweet to prove it"...
