It's actually in Isaiah 44 that we read "I am the Lord ... who says of Cyrus, 'He is my shepherd.'" Thus, proof straight from the Bible that Barack Obama (#44) was actually God's shepherd.Seems God has a Spiritual meaning for numbers -----and 45 is included -----

Just maybe God put him there to shake up the political system there ---which he is doing well -----who knows ---God does ---we don't

All I am saying is ------who are we to Judge Trump and what what is going on in this world ---Just may be God is in charge here
AmenWe are not to "judge" in the sense of making judgements about a person's eternal destiny or fate. I grant that. But we are surely called to judge their actions and decide whether they are or are not sincere in their expressions of faith.
Matthew 7:15-20:
“Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing but inwardly are ravenous wolves. You will know them by their fruits. Are grapes gathered from thorns, or figs from thistles? In the same way, every good tree bears good fruit, but the bad tree bears bad fruit. A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, nor can a bad tree bear good fruit. Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. Thus you will know them by their fruits."
Is this not an invitation to use spiritual discernment for the purpose of identifying those who are false prophets, or perhaps to identify the legitimacy of those who claim or are claimed by others to be God's servants?
@unsafe So by your reckoning, Ahab and Jezebel were divinely appointed king and queen of God's people. What great plans did God have for them? How did they help carry out God's mission and purpose?
Just because someone finds themself in a high position (remember the turtle on a fencepost story I'm sure we've all heard by now) DOES NOT NECESSARILY MEAN God meant to place them there.
But most of them are right wing whackos. There is a strong tradition in that country of admiring people who go "off script" or "stick to the man" and he manages to give the illusion of doing that while actually being "the man". I mean, seriously, he's a rich white guy in the White House. He's no counter-cultural icon. He's just knows the game and is playing it well and a certain segment, not all of them right-wing whackos, are eating it up. This is reality TV at its finest.
Ah yes, the micro-manager God. Forgot about that.
