The nursing home my mom was supposed to go to yesterday, but then stopped admissions because of their first covid case last week now has 10 covid cases. Lucky she didn’t go. We just hope her polish live in caregiver will stay, apparently, she is very scared. And hopefully, they will have a replacement when she leaves on the 20 th. Germany doesn’t think they are at the peak of Covid yet.
My nephew who studies in Austria has had a persistent infection and now they are testing him for Covid. He has been living together with several other students. He is super physically fit, a mountain climber, and just in his 20 ties, so hopefully he will be ok.

The coffee and tea cart is ready. Come help yourself, and support and be supported by one another.

Stressful times for sure for all your family. Hopefully your mom's caregiver will just stay put & they will both carry on safely.

Are you still at work daily? Any reassignment for you yet?

Yep, still full staff daily. It has only occured to staff that it might be smarter to take turns coming here as long as we don’t have many patients, to keep some staff as a back up. Management doesn’t go for it.
We have between 1 and 4 referrals, so we spend the rest of the day cleaning, webinars, mandatory education ( and there is lots of that) updating some stuff like contact lists and forms. The outpatient therapist are still busy with reports and discharges.
Physio will be frontline, but OT is not so defined yet.

@Mrs.Anteater Will the upcoming statutory holidays be honoured as usual? Was pondering that this morning. I hope grocery stores & other such services are able to close for a while this weekend. People need rest.

Good morning. The coffee is delicious as usual. Dog and I went for a walk around the park this morning. Usually we'd pass a lot of people while out. The place is very quiet and peaceful right now. People are honouring the recommendations to stay put. I'm so glad we can do this in such a piece of heaven.

Right now we are in the quiet before the storm. So we were told, the vacation we had to submit in February for the whole year will be happening unless told otherwise.
Now, every day, or even twice a day, things seem to be changing. So, there is no point in thinking too far ahead.

I was actually wondering about Good Friday & possibly Easter Monday, rather than scheduled vacations.

We were talking with our neighbour about the state of RV parks around the country. This one is open. The showers and public spaces are closed. The laundry is the only public space that's open. We were wondering whether people will come here on the weekend. Easter is traditionally a busy camping weekend here. Tenters and people who don't have bathrooms won't be able to come.

We're open Easter Sunday, but staff will only work if they volunteer (it is time and a half). We're not open Good Friday. We're normally closed both days, but I think it was decided that have the store open only 5 of 7 days in a week would concentrate demand in such a way that overcrowding more likely.

As an office worker, I only get Good Friday officially. This year, of course, that just means I don't login to my work computer.

Well, I am not in nursing, so holidays as usual. So far, there is no staff sick with Covid in all of NS. It is known to now being spread in the community. The health minister is very proactive in what measurements are taken. Masks are now recommended in public, but not mandatory. We have had measurements taken well before numbers were up. Someone said that from the age group of the population. NS would be like Italy. Italy didn’t take Covid seriously for a long time. Our hope is that we will not reach their catastrophic numbers because of early intervention. Time will tell.

Good question about the weekend campers. I would think the park would not be 'open' for that purpose - seems like 'non-essential' category might prevail. But hey - you know what they say about 'assuming' ....

I was reading in the The Star that Ontario is permitting some of the seasonal trailer parks to open early here (once they meet all health standards), so that snowbirds who have returned early can live in their usual summer places. That was an issue for a while.

There's several people from Ontario. I know a few who won't be able to go to their usual parks. One is at a conservation area that only has about 3 or 4 summer residents. The rest are recreational so the park is considered not essential. Another issue is residency. One MPP stated that if the campground is the permanent address, people can stay there. If not, they can't. Most or many fulltimers use a family member's address. I don't think it's very common to use RV parks as permanent addresses. That will leave many in a no-win situation. Not every family member can accommodate an RV in their driveway. Our family member address could not. There will be people stuck. Some are quite worried here.

As water seeps through the coffee grounds, the density of the grounds determine the quality of the coffee. The density of tea leaves also has something to do with how tea tastes. Sounds like a science project for some student... In the meantime, let us imbibe.

What or who is in Bibe? Sounds bifurcated ... like a divining stick ... shoots going off to find water other to find source of energy (light)? Could be the vegetable genes inherent to my being! Don;t blame me I was born a vegetable I'm told ...

Then certain leaders are like leaded glass ... somewhat toxic about how they accept responsibility for nothing and no alternate expression allowed about unknown reason. Does the leadership position require "unknown reason" and thus piles and heaps of denial to offset the vacancy of mine?

Could be my abstract at work trying to complete whats incarnate. Did you know incarnate one meant something that appeared incomplete ... like finding the mysterious psyche in the dark and unknown realms ... common weal^th'? That's an old word for the gathering pain ... it may have split and opposing perspectives ... a gift of the unknown is thus expressed in deux (indus)? Thus the propping of ghandi an ancient vegetable lift for those in working hell with those out of balance and share little ... an upright metaphor?

Expect implications and complications from those caressing the KISS Principle! One sucks the other may feel a draught ... and something went ...

In the distant future some powerful gathering is part of a grand unification Theo Rae ... theories must be demonstrated factually and not by stray propaganda ... by those people with little digestion and reasoning powers ...

Yes, P3, the eternal coffee maker is ever ready. So long as someone remembers to plug it in in the morning.
