Was out cleaning up after the plows. They seem to have plowed before the temperature dropped last night because everything was (ugh) frozen. It took some seriously hard shovel work to get it cleared.

I have been to church, come home, eaten some lunch, written six submissions for the Annual Report, shovelled most of the front porch and scooped about half the driveway (the service only does to the back of the two cars...), then went for a long-ish walk in the brisk air with Lucy and my neighbour, who was giving me the scoop on the collie puppie she has just committed to, who will, hopefully, be friends with Lucy. It's a male rough collie, and Lucy loved Fergus, her male rough collie friend, so as long as we're careful with intros, all should be well. Now I am in warming up before I go back out to finish the driveway and move my car back in. Kitchen looks like a bomb hit it, having made no recovery from Friday's "loonie lunch" prep.

I've had a wonderfully lazy day. We're at my sister's house right now. She was discharged from the hospital and is doing well at home. She had one minor fall and so has a sore ankle. She used both hands to make some tuna for open faced tuna sandwiches. Not a lot of stamina in her left hand, but she did it. We'll probably go home tomorrow and come back here in a few days.

We finally got a reasonably warm day (in the -20's). The sun was also shining so we decided to go out fora drive with our cameras. We each have two. When gathering my 'stuff' together I realised I had two dead batteries. I replaced them with full ones and set the dead ones on their little life support gadgets. Then I realised that I also had a non-functioning SD card. Checked for a spare one - nope. Asked hubby if he had a spare and he did. Unfortunately it was malfunctioning too. A son s going to the city tomorrow and hopefully he'll pick up replacements for us. Wednesday the temperature is supposed to be -4 so we're planning a celebration picnic!

-0F (approx -17C) so feels practically balmy! Concert was Terry Barber - he did mostly Andrew Lloyd Webber tunes...OMGosh he is INCREDIBLE!

According to the computer our temperature is just below freezing...according to my thermometer we are quite a few degrees below freezing! Anyway, still much warmer than LAST week so the plan is to finish the paper deliveries today.

-19 here, although no wind. It was a Lucy-jacket morning (a little calculation I make every morning from December to March).
