I hear ya, was up at 5 a.m. for work so may not make midnight this year.

Local fireworks were at 9:05 and I was able to see about half from the house (neighbour's tall garage blocks a lot)

A lot of public outdoor events, including fireworks, were cancelled in Vancouver and not much was scheduled here. The wind and rain are nasty tonight - for the past several hours!

Local fireworks were at 9:05 and I was able to see about half from the house (neighbour's tall garage blocks a lot)

When I was growing up in Kitchener, we could often see sky rockets and other high-shooting fireworks from events at the Kitchener Memorial Auditorium from our front porch.

Fireworks were only 4 blocks from my house so we can usually see them - except the lower ones.

The Aud was further but hosted some fairly big displays since it was a major event hub. Besides the arena, it had the fair grounds and grandstand for the Central Ontario Exhibition, our local fair.

These were held at the outdoor skating rink which is almost at the exact centre of town

It's a very good day to be lazy. We'll go for a walk a little later and that will be about all. I have my final radiation tomorrow. We're going to go there from here rather than go to my sister's. That way we can have a lazier day.
