Is a Djinn (gene) tale like the loose NDE's? Looking into the mysterious Ide ... like recidivism is a totally MS Understood word as minor humiliation! You cannot alter a psychopath ... thus altermind ... or other wise! The wise are something else ...

Acupuncture appointment today - if I can find some energy - been out on the road too many days in the LAST week

I've only mailed one ...hopefully the others will go out this week but I'm not holding my breath on that.

Last as I install our new scanner. No idea why we haven't bought one before. This one is well-reviewed and was on sale at Staples for $80.

I need a new scanner - still using my original one from when I started the paper in 2002 - though it's plugged into an older computer as it won't work with my current laptop.

I had made a large casserole the other day and wondered how I'd eat it all - decided to make two frozen dinners out of it and give to a neighbour for Christmas.

Given the age, I'm guessing it's a serial or parallel interface, not USB? This Epson is actually USB powered. No power cable, just the USB cable to the computer which then supplies the power. Meaning the lamp must be using some kind of lower power tech like LEDs.

First tests have gone well. Real reason for this is that Mrs. M clued in on the weekend that for roughly the first 2 1/2 years of Little M's life, we were still shooting film and have no backup of those old pre-digital images if the house burns down or something (we have multiple backups of our digicam images from the years since). So, she wants to scan them.

It's USB

Last, as I curse my own clumsiness.

Managed to fall down 2-3 stairs on the short flight down to basement. Have twisted my back so that certain motions are very painful. Sitting through 2 1/4 hr Board meeting did not help. Painkiller'd, sleep-aided and hot water bottled for the night, and hope to hell I can work at 8 a.m. tomorrow.

Ouch! Hope you feel better soon

Ouch. Get thyself well. I've been wrestling with various aches and pains, some related to ergo issues (neck pain, I'm working with one of my staff to redo my workspace), some to my arthritis (wrists and hands). Latest is in my left shoulder. For a day or two I couldn't lift that arm above my head without grimacing. It's better now. This happens from time to time and I've never figured out what I'm doing to trigger it.

Ow. Hope there's nothing serious going on with your back, BetteTheRed. Take care and make moves slowly if and when you can.
