I would expect anyone is who is "pro-life" to be pro anything that supports life. That includes the social services and supports to help children and families. I also expect that someone who considers themselves to be pro-life to be against the death penalty because all life is sacred, even the lives that challenge us. Only being against one thing is not pro-life. I don't believe for a second that Trump is pro-life. He only expresses some of those views to get votes.
 
In the human logical fallacy there is failure in some concepts ... thus much yet to be forgiven for those that deny intellect and the god of wisdom!

Such Gods may require thinking alone time ... thus expect some mental isolation!

The fathers of the Roman Camp of Christianity mostly stated that the common folk shouldn't know and thus remain in the dark regarding lighter intellects ... that spark of greater wisdom!

This is just silly!

If I come across someone killing an innocent person, and I have the ability to stop the crime, the innocent person will probably be grateful and thank me and go happily on his way. He will not say, “Why did you save me? Don’t you know that it is now your job to give me medical care and an education and feed me for the rest of my life.”

saving an innocent person from death gives them the opportunity to live their life. Do the things we all do to survive. A chance to live.

And just because you help an innocent person and believe that they have a right to life - it does not therefore follow that the same goes for a murderer.

From what I see @Pontifex Geronimo 13 is that people who claim to be pro-life often oppose public health, education and social services that support children and families. They condemn the single mother who choses to continue the pregnancy and do not support anything that helps her raise her child such as social assistance. If abortion is the only concern, and if the baby is the only worthy life then you are merely pro-birth. Being only against abortion is just silly. For the record, I am not arguing for abortion.

Not a ghost of a thought ... the mystery of love can do that to you! God creates blackout in instants of crisis! Kind of an angular momentum incident ...
 
Evangelicals are worse than free lifers, much much worse. They are the prime support of Trump, and they are what has kept his presidency alive And its almost entirely the white evangelists that are supporting him. These are people who are obsessed with the idea that only they are going to heaven. All the rest of us are doomed. And they want to see the world destroyed ASAP so they can leave all the rest of us in hell.

Yes. They're also pretty stupid and largely racist. And it's still possible they could get Trump in again. (In fact, I just wrote a part of my blog on that. free PR for me - my blog is The Decarie Report.

Every human being knows (deep down) that is wrong to 'pillage, plunder and rape'.

Agreed, until you start to claim that a pedophile is anyone who has relations with a person under 16 years of age. Different cultures have different opinions about the "age of majority" and the importance or lack of it when it comes to age difference between the parties. It ends up being all about rules, and math, which is not necessarily better than a free-for-all. No, a certain amount of subjectivity there. We could all agree on pre-puberty, I'd think, except that puberty is a wildly varying physiological feature of each human, with an almost 10 year span in which to occur; menarche occurs in girls as young as nine, as old as as 17.

If one has discussion and intercourse with a child of god ... should one convert to adults of god and grow into adult sects ... just fo avoiding the charge of paedia functions?

I actually think we've hit a reasonable standard here. 16 is high enough to protect all persons who are in and pre-puberty, low enough to be fair to older teens. And the exemptions for couples where both are under 16 or one is above but less than 2 years older than the underage partner prevents it being used against teens who are sexually active with other teens. The only problem is having a separate age of consent for anal sex, which is clearly targetting gay males. Fix that and I can live with the current law.

Sounds to me like a system for dominating sensuality ... when this appears to be an independent force from intelligence ... something beyond optimistically leaning people towards dominating species? May incarnate as sadisto maschio activity over which some cannot form adequate BS.

In the short form ... humanity is inhumane ... they love to observe the pain as long as it is in other bode ... and bides these! Ti*sith ornery situation ... good thing we are temporary or there could be deadly consequence, or perhaps there already is and we are not cognizant ovit!

Such is sublimation ... the rendering of condensates ... dropout of escentuals ... thus church patriarchy stated the common people shouldn't know what the hiero gammas cause to fail in thought! Tis sacred wisdom so the people can remain numbed ...

This goes on ... ad continuum due to resistance to alternate knowledge! That'd be the rest of the story as the myth settles ...

I can and do live with or without it.
But then again I am not a great advocate of endorsing that the way to effect change is through legislation or social engineering, crude propaganda or the enforcement of political correctness of du jour.
