Best Laundromat I've ever been too (and there are many!) was in Iceland! The Laundromat Cafe https://www.thelaundromatcafe.com/en/home - on the main level a fantastic cafe and downstairs a laundromat & playroom for the kids! So pop in a load, go for lunch or a coffee, zip downstairs to switch to the dryer, back up to the cafe ... done, fun, and then home! It was amazing!

Oops that link is to their locations in Copenhagen. Apparently the one Reykjavik closed but is reopening ... yay! Rejoice! The Laundromat Café Is Reopening - The Reykjavik Grapevine

They might have been the larger capacity machines then too. They usually cost more. The machines I've been using lately are the fairly standard laundromat size. I may have been comparing apples to oranges. I've paid more for the larger size machines.

I don't mind clean, well run laundromats. There was one in Fort St John that was spectacular. It's big, bright, clean and well run. It totally spoiled me and raised my standards for laundromats. One of the benefits of using a laundromat is that the entire wash can be done at once in more than one machine. I bring knitting or a book and just hang out.
No these were the standard ones. My regular load - one cloth shopping bag (3 light cotton T-shirt’s, a light cotton zip front hoody, one gauzy cotton peasant blouse that takes up no room when wet, a tank top, a pair of leggings, a pair of lightweight jeans, one pair of light cotton pants, 3 pairs of underwear and socks, for an average sized not extra large woman) - bag was stuffed full - just fit. The large ones were $5.00 a wash. I can’t remember what the large dryers were, maybe $4.00 for 30 minutes or something. The regular ones were $3.00 for 40 min of drying, but that was enough. I remember when wash was 1.50 and the dryers were set so that every quarter you put in - you could put it in as you went - would at least give you 5 minutes.

Sure! I can use packers, cleaners, etc etc lol
I think it's coming along well, thanks. Moving day is the 27th. I still have a bit of time.

Sorry I have to chicken out ... as it is the day after my birthday I may be hung over the edge ... kind 'a sharp about the passing of the intangible stuff! --- Timaes?

Happy birthday (belatedly) Luce. I'm taking a bit of a break from housework...Expecting company tomorrow. Just washed the floor and mowed the lawn, and dusted. My house is rather an ugly house, so I always get a little nervous about having company. But over the years, we have hosted many meals and guests...All have enjoyed themselves. So, I guess, most people don't judge me for my ugly house. (needs painting, new cupboards, organization, closet doors, general updating).

Good morning! Between the topics of bruises and birthdays, let us salute the new day with warming beverages!

Bruises and birthdays ... naked PTSD as rye in form? Some people get intoxicated by such alien cognizance of what is in the jar ... biblically Jaerd? Varies from quo vadis ... and that's how it goes ...

Literally Quo is "the" and "vadis" is roughly a travelling thing ... thought and knowledge are sometimes like that!

Imagine a place of wisdom as dark and mysterious as the bottom of the night of soul! Coffee sometimes is all it takes to escape the place of stoppage ... Bung'd? Word can entertain and carry hidden information that is accrued ... does that add up roughly or as ruagh ... magic ruag as a tapestry ... these may hang off a wall ... like Rahman ... the "n" being silent as "eta" in other traditions.

So much to learn so little time ... does stimulation assist if overrated? Thank God for the autonomous strings ... a spectra to say least!
