A couple of gardens - one is where I'm living, the other, fenced one, is a few blocks away. I never noticed it before but it caught my eye today. In one photo you can see the statues. There was also driftwood in the yard but I couldn't get up to the fence because there were a bunch of tall "weeds" in front of it.

Be careful of the local cats ...

Dogma that should be endogenous ... that inner piece of essence ... may be just thought!

I'm not allowed to say it outright as not a professional certified carrier of altruisms ... the under qualified are required to be blissfully silent while their sects are consumed ... benefits closed casts of agendas! Amateurs use abstract missals ... almost mythical in nature of the land of lyres ... perhaps there is something to the alternate side of what's vernacular!

Sometimes redacted, blacked out and made a hated object as dah coda ... or Dakota's! Powers are capable of this when accrued sourcery of money's to be lent at inflated rates ... when there is no reserve rates ... unrestricted to the lawmakers and generators of protocol! Tis again a psi-in the essence of ethereal sol ... a defunct ideology?

May pass as a whisper in the willowing of whister's mothering instinct that is inclusive of underground communication around the stoo pođ ... if warmed to it slowly ... you too may fall in with the frogue ... retained as hopi intuition!

I am just a simple teller ... wills buddhai ... under influence of the alien tree ... possibly acacia and black ...

That isn't too uncommon here, unfortunately. We used to have a hockey team called the Cougars, in their honour. I think the high population of deer wandering into town brings the cougars wandering into town after them. They are more interested in deer than in us - but still, they do attack people sometimes - good to be careful. That's quite forested land, near where it was caught. I was living not far from there last year. They think it was the same one spotted a few km from there. I suspect it probably has family in the area, too.

Next time I see a deer crossing at a crosswalk or wandering down a sidewalk (it happens) I want to get a photo of it.

That cougar is a beautiful animal, though. Nice how the fireman patted its head. Hopefully it doesn't wake up scared and disoriented.

As per the deer - there are so many of them, increasingly, for about 10 years now. They eat flower gardens. But the consensus seems to be, so far, not to cull them. I wonder if anyone hunts them, illegally, in their yards. They literally walk around town in full view. I thought I was imagining it the first time I saw one sauntering toward me, down the sidewalk of a busy street. Here, nothing is done about it. In Vancouver, deer would be caught and taken into the woods.

Cougars and grizzlies are a good reason for me to live on the East coast. We have coyotes that can become aggressive, but I have yet to meet one really close. The do reduce the amount of stray cats here

We technically have cougars in Southern Ontario but they are pretty rare, usually only known to be around due to finding scat or abandoned dens.

I thought “cat” was older slang replaced by “dude”, or guy, like “fat cat” is slang for rich dude.

Cougars is slang for “older” women who go to bars.

I just read the other day that Mountain Lions are the same as Cougers, Pumas, and panthers.......same animal, but called by different names depending where you live. I always thought they were different for some reason.....Mountains lions are listed in the dictionary by more names than any other animal in the world.

It took me a while to sort that out in my mind too. The names are quite regional which encouraged me to think they were different animals. Magnificent creatures, whatever name they are using.

Not quite...derogatory slang for older women who prefer younger men.

More like "stalk" younger men and, as suggested, not all of them think it's derogatory. Revenge for the older men who chase after young women seems to be more the attitude.

So if you are an older woman trying to gain the attention of a younger man, when does it become "stalking" as opposed to just showing interest?

And why the pejorative cultural observation that an older man with a younger woman is normal, and older woman with younger man is worthy of a title?

I have not historically trended towards younger men (rather the opposite; I come from a family tradition of substantially older men), but as I age, I find older men fretful and irritating. A few years younger looks sorta attractive sometimes.
