TRUMP - Some people think......... How do you feel?

Appreciate Chris Hedges - but how do we "rise up and destroy corporate structures"? Acting destructively out of anger - rise up and destroy is not helpful language - that mentality will do more harm than good. The only way it can be done is through a patient and arduous process of electing people committed to changing the system. Just stick to principles and keep plugging along even when opposed.
Out there on the left coast, they can rise up and destroy corporate structures antifa style, over a hockey game.

Those were kids from the outer suburbs more likely to be Doug Ford supporter types - or whoever our equivalent could be - than anything. Antifascism and hockey games don't go together.

Occupy had some black bloc types show up near the end that gave off a bad vibe, like trouble was about to start. They could've been moles though.

Actually they did that hockey riot for no reason whatsoever except rage over a dumb game and mob mentality.

Back to Trump.

For a guy who made himself famous with the tagline "you're fired" on a reality TV show, he certainly seems too scared to actually fire anyone face to face. Today, of course, was Jeff Sessions - ousted as Attorney General. Trump had his Chief of Staff John Kelly phone him to ask for his resignation. Rex Tillerson of course was fired as Secretary of State via Twitter while he was in Africa.

And for a guy who says so many inflammatory and outrageous derogatory things, and implements terrible policies like separating kids from parents, and travel bans of people from countries without real justification for picking those countries except that they're mainly Muslim, he seems to paradoxically really want people to like him. Which is probably why he can't fire anybody directly.

Now, that actually, is a very good example of fascism.

"CNN said in a statement that the White House revoked Acosta's press pass out of "retaliation for his challenging questions"."

Yup. But he’s been calling the press the enemy of the people and fake news for awhile - building up tolerance in the people to hearing this, and grooming his supporters to believe it. It’s not a joke.

"Officially"Sarah Huckabee said it was because Acosta, "placed his hands on a young woman (intern)" when she tried to take his microphone away. The film coverage shows no such thing, only that he continued holding onto the microphone.
But yeah, it was because of his questions, I'm sure.

The footage. She reached under his arm rather aggressively and tried to grab the mic. he didn’t man-handle her. He barely brushed her...and she had been the one who put her arm under his to grab the mic.

I watched it a few times. I see he lifted and moved his arm to block her from grabbing the mic. He was trying to do his job by asking challenging questions. All he said was “Russia investigation” and that triggered the president, and he was shut down. To be stopped is an assault on the free press.

It's worth a watch, the first one anyway, because it's absolutely chock-a-block with Western metaphors, almost to the point of parody. Trinity is the saviour/divine human/hero on a journey. The metaphors are largely dismissed in the second two; from a cinematic history POV, the first one is probably enough.
