Im not sure if anyone has brought this up before but has anyone else pondered the idea that maybe Adam was the serpent/whisperer who did the deceiving?
Personally, I believe Adam was the person described as the serpent/whisperer.
Was it Adam who was the first to call her wife? Or woman?

It seemed to me as though Adam was all about Adam in Genesis.
For me, it is important to note that in Gen.5, it says that Most High named them both Adam when they were created.
When Most High names someone, why change it?

Cheers

What version of bible have you been reading?

Maybe get a study bible.

My descendants carry my family name, as I carry my father’s.

Gen 5 does not name them both Adam. As well Gen 3 would make no sense.

unsafe says --------Not a chance------ Jesus is referred to as the last Adam -----

1 Corinthians 15:45 (AMP)
45 So it is written [in Scripture], “The first man, Adam, became a living soul (an individual);” the last Adam (Christ) became a life-giving spirit [restoring the dead to life].

I see nothing that would justify the idea that "Adam" was meant to be understood as including the serpent.

As for Genesis 5,

Genesis 5:2 said:
He created them male and female and blessed them. And he named them “Mankind" when they were created."

The Hebrew word translated here (NIV) as "Mankind" is "a-dam." It does in fact mean "mankind" or "humanity." So you're correct in a sense. All people are "a-dam."

It's one of the things that we miss and something that can cause a lot of problem in understanding. We insist on using "Adam" as a name when there are times when it's really "a-dam" - a word for all humanity. We have the same problem with insisting on "Satan" rather than "sa-tan."

Yes I agree Yeshua is the last Adam, it is written.
Who is the first Adam ?

Adam was the first man Created by God from the dust of the Ground -----Adam was made in the image and likeness of God -----God Breathed Life into Adam

Adam was definitely not Satan ------you can believe as you wish ------that is not my belief

Maybe there is a reason you don't see?

My bible says Gen 5:2 "He created them both male and female and blessed them and named them (both) Adam at the time they were created."

I know you are going to try to teach me..

I'm not your teacher or anyone else's for that matter.
I'm just putting what I've found to be possible within scripture and my experiences of life.
You consider a talking snake rather than a manipulating human, like how satan works in this age?

Was Peter a satan when Yeshua declared him so after being upset of Yeshua's ordeal to come?

I did find in the book of Jasher that it references Most High naming Eve as opposed to Adam naming her so if that means anything, only Most High knows.
Also, if you believe in the book of life, what do you suppose is his name written in the book?
Cheers

So what is your take on satan? Is he an angel?
An evil spirit?
I lean towards an evil spirit.

I believe that Satan is a fallen angel, the founder of all wickedness, the opponent of the kingdom of God, the seducer of the faithful, and the founder of death.

Not a chance ...
