Was Adam part of the creation process?

When was Adam created?

According to scripture in Genesis 1 describes mankind being created on the 6th day.
With the referance to the creation of Adam though, the description of the environment of the earth was not the same as it was in day 6 in Gen. chapter 1.
In Genesis 2, it describes the earth to be without any green plant, that the waters were a mist or fog vapor as it had not been caused to rain upon the earth and no man to till the ground.Then it goes on to describe the creation of Adam.
If there was a fog covering the "whole surface", then the waters have not been separated yet?
To my mind this is not during day 6 but much earlier.
I actually believe that Adam was created on day 1 and was along for the experience of the creation process.

To my mind there is only one way for the "Word to become flesh" and that is at the very beginning.

God created Adam on Day 6.

The Word who became flesh is Jesus who, while he is the Creator, was born on Earth about 4,000 years after the Creation.

You are right, if we look at the various elements recorded in each of these two visions of creation we find contrast. I think this should force the reader out of a strict historic literalism in understanding the creation events depicted in Genesis. The point of the story is not how creation happened (which order and how long) so much as it is to affirm that everything that was created was created by God.

There are reasons for each story appearing as they do and those reasons tend to focus on God and God's character rather than for the purposes of establishing a rock solid chronology of events.

That said, I see nothing to support the notion that Adam was created on day 1. Nor can I see any reason why creating Adam on Day 1 gives us a better understanding/view of God as the Creator.

Yeshua and Adam are in a way, the same flesh and blood.

I love the plan of salvation!!!!

Thanks for the explanation Bolt. I hope you are well too. We differ in our beliefs. I feel that the Son has always been God. Overall I am well, though I do have a touch of bronchitis.
