Trump is engaged in murdering people, including children, every day. Jesus was really not so specialized in His thinking. He was against killing altogether. Christians are against it only if it is convenient for them to be so. And that's more self-righteous than righteous.
 
Many Christians have, indeed, adopted an "ends justify the means" approach with regards to Trump. He's anti-abortion (actually, he's promised to appoint anti-abortion judges in order to get the anti-abortion vote, in spite of the fact that until he ran for president in 2016 he never really had any firm beliefs on the subject) and he's pro-Israel (although once again there was never much evidence that he'd thought much about Israel until he ran for president.) But because he is those two things well, nothing else matters. He can be as odious as he chooses to be. Because - you know - the ends justify the means.

These are the two things a family member brings up when discussing Trump. This person is very close to me so I try not to give my view on that subject. She gives Trump credit for being pro-life and pro-Israel. I try only shake my head but here I get to vent.;)

What I like? I've heard that he is quite a good and loving father to his young son Baron.
 
Well, I guess you haven't noticed, but he's been killing people, most recently threatening to kill millions in North Korea and in Iran. Indeed, he is, seemingly, willing to destroy the whole planet.

Gotta protect them unborn babies, though.

If you're going to attack abortionists, shouldn't you have the integrity to attack other killers? The injunction, after all, is Thou shalt no kill, not simply thou shalt not abort.

We sent troops to kill in Aghanistan and aircraft to kill in Libya. Did your coreligionists protest those?

Agreed that President Trump should speak out against the slaughter of all people groups. His speaking out against the slaughter of innocent, unborn children was imho a great place for him to start.

Calling for more and better actions by churches is certainly apt. It doesn't belong in this particular thread though.

Back to discussing the words and actions of President Trump please.

Jae enjoys being fed. Surely by now you have figured that out. Now and then it is amusing but after awhile it becomes annoying.
 
Geronimo - Don't talk nonsense. You understood what I said. (Sorry. Maybe you aren't bright enough to understand.)

What church-goers could do is to adopt the unwanted babies. But that's yuckie-poo. So they'd probably rather leave that in the hands of scared girls and young women. it's easy to be virtuous when, instead of practicing it, we simply demand it of others.
