TRUMP - Some people think......... How do you feel?

Or, to turn down the game ....one looks like a thin-skinned loser/ "victim" who has the problem - instead of someone with moral integrity who doesn't want to get into the fray. I got into the game, the fray. Next year I will not.

This makes no sense.

It does - Cards against Humanity is like the ultimate microcosm of white male dominant culture - encapsulated in a board game. Play dirty to win, suck it up, stay tough, laugh at others' expense - even the most abject situations and/ or offensive attitudes - and if you can't take it, you're weak - a victim - and you come in last.

I actually think that if our culture was not male dominant, leadership would look a lot different overall. The proof is in the pudding. The military industrial complex is the worst outcome. And it threatens men and women alike. I have to wonder - and I do believe it wouldn't exist if the culture was not male dominated.

As for the game I referenced. It uncannily parallels male dominant society - oversimplified, of course - but it reminds me of what a dirty game life can be - who's controlling the game (the guys who write the cards) and who wins and loses.

And, it's uncanny, that at this stage of the game - the leader of the most powerful country is named Trump. And he's every satirical stereotype about male dominant culture, on display, in the real world.

If it's not an a wake up call from the other side of reality (the one that we haven't known yet - like a culture that's not male dominated - that we could've/ might achieve), I don't know what is.

Here's to the multiverse (which probably won't make sense to many).

My father in law thinks Trump is a better candidate for POTUS than Obama and he is a nuclear physicist. So I am wondering if that makes him a moron or a jerk. I don't agree with him on political matters but won't say if he is one or the other. It really makes me wonder though.

Jerked Beef is a reality?

My family member - same thing. I'm going with the "jerk" side, rather than the moron side. He's actually a nice guy - really not a jerk himself - but who sympathizes with jerks. And maybe the same could be said about Trump.

I think the same about all Republicans. They're going with the "jerk" flow.

Jerks suffer the vortex ... as I am restricted to expressing the observation of dis-orienteering ... tis a grand disturbance ... given still life some emotional content ...

What parts of Toronto did you visit that you were not impressed? If Toronto can't impress you, I don't know what place can.
I think it was the Queen street area. The CN Tower stuck out like a sore thumb. The area had a sad feel to it. It was noisy and smelly. People were walking around other people sleeping on the street. This was in the month of March. Sad to say the least.

Agree, downtown stinks of urine. People sleeping at intersections inches from the curb.

same happened to me. It was my first and lasting opinion of Toronto. It was the first

time I saw homelessness up close.

Toronto is like any city. It has some wonderful neighbourhoods and a lot to do. It also has some terrible neighbourhoods. Just by way of comparison I spent a lot of time in Chicago over the years. Chicago did a marvellous job with it's lakefront. It's inviting, full of clean and swimmable beaches and parks. None of the industrial mess you see on a lot of Toronto's lakefront. On the other hand you need to be careful where you go because it can be a dangerous city. Never get lost if you can help it. Toronto's traffic is also among the worst I've ever driven in and I've driven in a lot of cities all over North America. Toronto's transit system is a mixed bag. Bus service is pretty good and covers the city. The subway was poorly planned. No east-west route in the North is a problem. On a personal level I've always felt very safe in Toronto. There's very few neighbourhoods I would deliberately stay away from for safety reasons.

Basically Toronto's Toronto. It's a city with its good points and its bad points.

I think it's much more up close in Vancouver, frankly. Largely because Vancouver's coldest temperatures are much more moderate than Toronto's. Homelessness is a nightmare in winter.

Yes, Toronto has a few homeless people. Every world-class city does. It's to be expected but I can understand if some from lesser cities and towns were surprised upon visiting here.

We also have beautiful, million dollar homes, condominiums that reach to the sky, and even a castle. No other place in Canada can compare.
