i wish it was more polite but I love the line "just wash your hands".
ie, replace "Whatever" with "all welcome"
You'd fit right inta the place
Its a bakery that makes AWESOME goodies
Every Saturday they make this marvy fig hazelnut anise bread mmmhmm and has so many different kinds of cinnamon buns...

Sunset during Halloween--a bright orange sky and bright orange wall. Still mystified as to why I can'5 get some natural colours on this phone--its soooo different than a film camera.

Phone cameras are different beasts even than digital cameras. There are some shots that just don't work with a phone so we still pack our Nikon on major vacations. For one thing, it's got an optical zoom, which is superior to digital zoom. You simply can't build that into a phone. Cameras are also easier to steady for slow exposures, I find.

Sunsets are one thing that our camera handles better than our phones, though if you figure out the right settings, you can do it on a phone.

Still a rockhound
Found this among the ice defeating salt(?) onna parking lot. Might be halite. Tastes salty. Has cubic cleavage. Aaaand has visible teeny layers in it; I suspect these r the deposition layers. I wonder how old it is and where it came from?

Salts are generally ancient and easy to distribute ... as many allow scattered salts to mingle unseen ... sometimes in dilution pools ... a mental case!

When salts are thoroughly diluted do thoughts collapse perfectly? Synaptic theory ...

...please leave ur message @ the sound of the trumpet...

@Neo, this is in regards to your request for more details as to the strange disappearing images on this thread
It's nothing I've done, but I'll take look, there may be some logs.
Can someone redefine the problem again? I saw that some photos may have disappeared, that's all I know. Details about which posts in particular could help.
Some photos that people have posted after a time have disappeared being replaced by IMG surrounded by square brackets.

I took a look at page 6 of this thread as just a sample of the issue
Of pics on page 6 this is what I can see (all spelling is mine):
Jun 21: crocheted bahing suit:
Nothing
July 2: newsp bowls:

2 out of 4 pics visible

July 4: knitted bowls
No pics
There u r
I also notice on page 6 that GeoFee's pic is gone being replaced by
IMG surrounded by square brackets

I tried to download a couple of those image files on page 6 and they downloaded into a text file that contained this message: "URL signature expired"

I suspect this happens when somebody references a link to an image instead of actually uploading an actual image file, and then the image that was referenced is removed from the internet. This means that the reference is dead or "expired" since the image has been removed from the referenced source link.

Yep. At the same time, linking is better from a storage stand point though we aren't having issues on that front at present.

Are images that faded just imaginary ... figments of mind? Burnt up the light of brighter things ... archetypically nothing left but fragile bones ... and thus the veil of myth ... it goes round too ...
