Oh, told the Adventist guy I didn't like the DVD and he was okay with that - still trying to convert me but not pushing it as hard.

Or a quilting group? We have two groups who meet at the church; one is traditional, one more contemporary. There's a couple of common members, but they do not get along.

My mother enjoyed telling people about her adventures when travelling to and from Canada. One of her favourites was of a journey back to the UK. She had purchased an archery set for my sister's kids and, of course, it didn't fit in her bag. "I'll call it my carry on" she said and joined the line. There was an even more mature woman before her in the line and the official confiscated her knitting needles. He claimed they were potential weapons. Mum stepped up expecting to pass the archery set back to me but - they let her continue onto the plane. Mum kept quiet about it until the journey was over. One bow and six arrows................could have taken down the entire crew!

Just found a pattern for knitted worry dolls - I have a couple I was given as a kid by a great aunt...brought back wonderful memories.
