To return to Trump.
He is not the problem.
His threats to North Korea are not new or a change in any way. For over fifty years, the U.S. has maintained a huge army in South Korea. It routinely holds war exercises on the northern border. That's called being provocative. So is applying sanctions to North Korea. So is patrolling seas just off the coast. So is occasionally flying bombers directly over North Korea. And this has been the policy of every president since the Korean war.
The reason as for the first Korean war. North Korea is the ideal base for the invasion of China. To get that, the U.S. killed at last 30% of the population of North Korea. That's the highest ratio of deaths related to total population I know of in the world history of wars. (Canada lost about 1.5% of its population in WW2.)
And we know now it could have been 100% loss for North Korea if Truman had followed up on his plan to nuke the north.
Whatever one thinks of its leaders, North Korea has done an amazing job of recovering. (In education, it now has a literacy rate far, far ahead of Canada and the U.S.)
Korea built a bomb not because it wanted to bomb the U.S. That would be absurd. they know they would be obliterated in the counter-attack. Korea wanted that bomb as a deterrent - not as a threat. All the threatening has come from the U.S.
The villain here is U.S. big business. It has wanted China, dreadfully, for all of the 20th century. Now, it's running out of time. It has to act soon. And U.S. big business owns the U.S. government. It is far the most evil force running loose in the world. It has invaded over 70 countries since 1945. Trump is simply following a well-worn path.
As well, it now seems likely that the congressmen owned by the very wealthy in the U.S. and the leading generals are now the ones calling the shots.
If it were just a crazy Trump doing all this, somebody could fix it by shooting him. But it's not Trump. It's the greed and savagery of a moneyed class who were happy to murder 30% of the population of North Korea - and would happily risk the survival of the whole planet,
It is not worth arguing about Trump. It just takes attention away from the evil generated by greed.
