They were excited and getting overheated so they had to walk them a bit and cool them down before heading them back to the barn area.

Should have just shot them full of tranqs and then gotten tractors to pull them off the track.

It's funny how some horses get treated like royalty while others are eaten for dinner. Is a horse no longer a horse of course?

I saw some of every event at the Stampede in 1967. It was exciting with all the yelling and pounding hooves and dust. Probably would have been helpful had there been someone with us to tell us the rules! That was the first and LAST time for me to be there.

My personal challenge today is refusing to take the really nasty bait that one person is dropping into this thread. I think I may have said my LAST to him.
