As, once again, am I. It is finally dark, and our Muslim friends can eat again. I was commiserating with little H_____h, on our way back from the mosque on Sunday, about how much harder Ramadan is in June than in November...

Yes, my boss at work is Muslim. Been wondering how she copes with Ramadan at this time of year when sun is up before 6 and doesn't set until after 9. Hope she and her family have a good feast once the month of fasting is completed.

They certainly feast when they break their fast. But it's hard to get kids up to get a big meal in before 6 a.m., so here are 10 and 8 year old kids who have to walk both ways to school (a reasonable hike, about 1.5 km) have no nutrition breaks, stay focussed, on what you can stuff in before 6, and knowing that, instead of your usually 4 p.m. dinner (when they get home from school), they'll 'feast' after 9 p.m.
