Over time and moving through the grief to the other side, hopefully we realize that home isn't dependent on a particular house, furniture or stuff, but where we live.Moving because you want to go somewhere else is one thing. Moving because of a change in life circumstance is something else entirely, and can be it's own loss. It really needs to be treated as such in some situations. It's not a little thing.
What keeps you where you are?
I find it's often helpful to remind myself that very few changes we make in life are actually permanent - unless we make it that way. If it works out differently than we expected, or we just plain don't like it, we can change again!Fear.
My husband and I are both unhappy in our jobs and the pool of available jobs is small in our city. We think about leaving town to improve our situation but fear prevents us from being able to choose somewhere more suitable. A new province/city might have better job opportunities, might have a church family we love as much as we currently have, might be closer to our families (which might or might not be a good thing)...
So we hope for things to improve; we wait for some indication of what we should do; and we do our best with what we have for now.

Does it show? Are you the only child, Chansen?
Stage your home with lots and lots of crosses. If it's a vertical line, cross it with a horizontal one. And vice-versa. Then hang dead guys from them. And add throw pillows..
sounds lovely crazyheart - but even lovely can be challenging ... be gentle with yourself. Hugs.It is a bad time for me because, I am so emotional these days. It will be fine. 1 bedroom, ground floor. very close to where I am.
A small patio off ground floor. Close to my kids. newly painted. washer, dryer. dishwasher. stove, fridge ,electric fire place.
common area, small library. close to Moxies, Brewster's and Denny's The money will be tight but manageable.

This is Steinbach we're talking about. The realtor ad should read, "Jesus died so you could buy this house."If I may ... thinking you should stick to construction ... home staging is not a good career move for you!![]()
The fact that if somebody mentions moving anytime soon there is likely to be a body turning up somewhere in pretty bad shape.
Since Dec 1, 2016. It was definitely an upsize. Because we have a grandkid now so . . .
Plus we like to have room to put folk up who are visitors to the Province. Currently we have two gentlemen who are avid cyclers and plan to cycle the Island hanging with us for at least tonight as they prepare their adventure.
They probably thought starting in May would keep them from overheating.
BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! Try to keep from freezing.!
NL resonates like no other place does. I've done BC, Prairies, Northern ON, Southwester ON, Eastern ON, Rural Que, and NL.
This is the only place I have ever been that looks nothing like home and still feels twice as much home as home ever did.
Plus I have my own treed lot, great view of St. John's airport and several flights on approach every day. It is a two minute drive to the eastern coast of North America (maybe 25 to the easternmost point of North America) has the friendliest and some of the funniest people on earth.
What is not to love.
