I don't believe knowledge and wisdom are denied access in the church. Some of it's adherents, however, tend to close their eyes and follow the blind. They believe mere words of devotion alone give them wisdom.

I can't say if I've turned grace down or accepted it. But I can say that something has stirred within me where I now feel compelled to watch my thoughts, my speech, and my actions in everything thing I do. These are my works in life. Just as I try to feed my body natural and wholesome food, so am I finding that honesty is the natural food for the mind, and sincerity is the natural food for the spirit. This is the "Art of Living" and has nothing to do with religion or theology. One doesn't have to be a high priest or priestess or university education to practice these modes of living. It's something everyone can do right now and in every facet of their lives.

I must disagree with you due to the formative and brutiis forces I've encountered in this institution as a coincidence of thought ... during the experience with their abstract considerations ... obviously they thought I too ... was nothing! I held contrary thoughts supporting the yin and yang against the monotheist position ... causing an eddy or stir in the dirt thereof!

To be honest Luce, if you spoke in the church the way you speak in some of your posts here, I can see why you may have met with opposition. I'm sure it was a matter of communication breakdown.

You rest what case on what?

Luce posts as he does because that's how he communicates in writing; part of his strategy is to ask us to slow down and consider the multiple meanings of words and what that means to communication. You write in the words and in the manner you do because that's how you think. I respond in the way I do because of my background, upbringing and talents. Who purports to be the judge of who is right? Or whose way is superior? Is that why you like being a moderator? Because you believe you can differentiate between right and wrong and apply your judgments fairly?
