It can last in the vaginal fluid for a little after recovery as well, I'm not sure if it's for quite as long or not.
I'm doubt either is feeling 100% quite yet, and I am sure there will be some monitoring for a while, so I don't think at this point that's a concern in the US. These were people who were volunteering to help during the epidemic, they had experts caring for them, so I don't think they are going risk transferring it to someone else.

There is a slight possibility that the virus could linger for up to three months in vaginal fluid and semen, according to the World Health Organization. Ribner said that there is no evidence Ebola has ever been transmitted in this way but that the risk was discussed with both patients.

That is not true. That's misrepresenting me. I never once said I was against ZMapp. I didn't, because I don't know how they make it...but I said I'm in favour (of course!) of stopping Ebola! I said they definately need to vaccinate.

And besides, this is a drug that they are experimenting because they know what they are using it for - it's not like "let's see what happens when we try to cross a pig with a zebra." or something like that...or let's see how giant we can grow these canteloupes if we give them bovine hormones and we can market the world's biggest cantaloupes (I have no idea if that can be done...I am saying it so you get my point). I am not against stopping dangerous viral epidemics!

The things that make you go...hmm. Why them? Interesting. Well, if they get out of the killing with plants business and into the saving with plants business- that's a better direction. Better PR for them. It's also a better use of tobacco.

I wonder if smokers have higher immunity? (it's a question not a conclusion)

Why are these destitute countries left destitute...without proper infrastructure to handle these epidemics that pop up in the poorest most populated places...and then left with not only the epidemic on their hands...but a testing ground for new drugs? It's so sad! And we watch from a far counting the fatalities. This world, for whatever reasons, is so cruel.

I asked if you were against it, you said yes. It sounded like you were listing alternatives other than ZMapp. I'm not misrepresenting you, you're doing it to yourself.

On the Government of Canada website - under health notice - we are advised to "Avoid unprotected sexual activity with an infected person or a person recovering from Ebola virus disease." and to "Avoid live and dead animals, as both can spread the virus. Animals such as chimpanzees, gorillas, monkeys, forest antelope, pigs, porcupines, duikers and fruit bats may be carriers."

As a society we are really dumbing things down - what happened to common sense?

Oh come on, Kimmio. Where do you want to begin? Poor water quality, poor sanitation, poor diet, bad hygiene, no doctors, no trust in the doctors they have, religious and superstitious nuts who think holy water can cure Ebola and sex with a virgin will cure AIDS...I mean, the reasons these diseases take hold there are obvious. Its a breeding ground for disease.

???I did not specifically mean ZMapp. You threw a trick question at me then.

I remember listing alternatives to pain killers and AC.
