1. Read the Washington Post carefully. It's partly not true. (ending torture was NOT Obama's idea. It was forced on him when the story became known.
2.Our troops are NOT in Latvia to prevent an invasion by Russia of former Soviet states. Think hard. The number of troops there, including Europeans, is only a few thousand. That wouldn't last a day in the event of a Russian invasion. They are there as a provocation. we offered up Canadians as sacrificial lambs. As well, we have never been given any evidence that the Russians are planning such an invasion. Nothing. Nada. Nor would it make sense for the Russians to do so.
3. NATO is not a holy organization. It is essentially a tool of American imperialism. And it is in great danger of breaking up.
4. The U.S. is preventing despots etc. from killing people? Think, Kimmio. Think just a little bit.
The U.S. has killed, crippled and refugeed people at a rate far beyond that of any despot I know of. in the last fifty years, it has invaded more countries than any country in the world. In Guatemala, it directed the slaughter of 300,000 civilians - including large numbers of clergy. The Jihadists and Assad come nowhere close to the U.S. record of murder.
5. Also on the Washington Post, the fact that two agencies got conflicting numbers on the number killed by drones means nothing whatever. In fact, nobody knows the number because the U.S. keeps them secret. And, at the end, note its sentence that Al Quaeda and other Jihadists are on the wane. That was written four years ago. Now, close your eyes and think hard. How come its four years later, and they're still major forces? And how come the major opposition to them has been from Russia? It's pretty public now that the U.S. and Saudi Arabia have, in fact, been financing and supplying Al Quaeda and other Jihadists. (In fact, Al Quaeda was formed BY THE U.S. some 25 years ago. The CIA did that. At the time, bin Laden was an ally of the U.S. Killing him was scarcely a triumph to brag about. He has been irrelevant for years.
6. Obama is passive and deferring? These strike you as indicating a good leader?
7. Those other countries were murderous? What on earth do you think the U.S. has been for the last 50 years and more? In that time, the U.S. police have killed far more Americans than terrorists have - and by a big margin.
8. Just in recent decades the U.S. has murdered at least 4 or 5 million civilians around the world. How on earth can you think they care what despots do?
9. As to the origins of the Syrian rebels, it is not a secret that the US organized and equipped them. Where do you think they got all their weapons and ammunition and vehicles? At yard sales? Can you even begin to have any idea of the tremendous need for constant supples of weapons, ammunition, training, food, oil in the midst of a war? Where do you think ISIS is getting its equipment?
10. The U.S. is blockading Yemen to starve its people to death. That's not a secret. Can you tell me how that is helping those people who are among the poorest in the world?
11. The purpose of the fighting in the middle east has nothing to do with despots. It has to do with destroying nations, with making them so small and weak they cannot defend their own resources, notably oil. And they are not permitted to trade with anybody but the U.S. and its closest friends. ( Check on what Britain and the U.S. did to the elected government of Iran about 1948).
And that whole plan is in danger of collapse. Turkey is movinig closer to Russia. Iran already has. The U.S. is profoundly hated and distrusted all over the world - and with good reason. No. obama didn't start it. But he became part of the game - because he wanted to be.
