Excited about the Men's Breakfast at my church tomorrow morning. Good food, fellowship, and Bible study will be enjoyed. The theme will focus on the importance of us being strong men.

Years ago I attended a Free Presbyterian service while in Scotland. They were "free" of music and very dour. So as BethAnne suggested probably free of Fun!

My friend sometimes jokes that what the Free Methodists are free from are the United Methodists

Here's a more serious answer...

"Issues that were important to them included slavery in America. While the mother church did not take a stand, those who took the name “Free” Methodist opposed slavery. Another issue in that time was the widespread practice of renting and selling church pews, thus relegating the poor to benches in the back of the sanctuary. “Free” Methodists called for free seats for all and emphasized tithes and offerings to support the church’s ministries. I was able to dry the sale out - actually wasn't as wet as I expected - it's packed again as the clouds are rolling in. Now to go watch the Stampede!
